Direct purchase of Faction Armor ventilation
It's extremely frustrating to have to depend SOLELY on RNG to be able to acquire the Faction armors. I can't grind the rally tokens fast enough to get to rank 50 without the full set of armor, and you can't even start grinding the ornaments for the armors either because of that ridiculous "with full {Faction} armor equipped" requirement to unlock them. It feels like you've deliberately targeted players who are able to grind out 50+ ranks and attain all the ornaments in a single week; essentially gatekeeping us from attaining all three sets of armors, ornaments, and Catalysts.
It would be nice to see a fourth Faction rally this season, to accommodate the awful new rules (ie, no direct purchase and 1 pledge per account) instead of the umpteenth Iron Banner.
[spoiler]There are only 3 rallies period this season, so there's only exactly one chance (because of the [i]AMAZING[/i] new 'one-pledge-per-account' rule) per Faction to unlock everything for season 3, so if you don't hit Rank 50 in a single week, you're boned; you will never unlock the ornaments/catalysts since Season 3 is so damn short.[/spoiler]

3 RepliesStarted this FR with 4 pieces of Warlock armour already. 51 ranks later, still no full set (bond). Had 8 gloves, and 7-8 “other” bonds. Not [i]that[/i] fussed on the ornament set, but even so....

i just hit DO rank 50 ... still no helmet drop for me. this is stupid.

I feel your pain...started this rally missing one hunter piece, luckily got it early. Then I started my Titan gear, having only one piece, I needed four. I have turned in 54 times and still don’t have the chest piece...absolutely LOOOOOVVEE the RNG for this. Zero progress for my Warlock, because I have only turned in with my Titan.

Edited by Atreuss: 7/2/2018 3:29:12 PMI don't care about ornaments, but rng is terrible on the set. Ground everything out without a set because I can't get the boots to drop. They could fix this by making each piece contribute to more tokens, but with all pieces you get max. This way you don't lose out on too much if you aren't lucky enough to get all the drops. I won't even need these next faction rally as I am switching to fwc for the sunshot catalyst. Will be in the same boat with it unless my rng luck changes. I miss the old shader, emblem and class item combo. Makes it a lot easier on players who have no luck. Offer the class item to buy at low faction rank so it's easy enough to get and makes a fair playing field for everyone.

1 ReplyHere come a bunch of posts from people telling you that they had good RNG so it wasn’t a problem for them. Ignore it, it’s not worth the time to argue with them. They are finally adding it for the third, and I have been advocating for a fourth rally since the first one but it doesn’t look like that’s gonna happen. Replacing the last Iron Banner should be fine, but again it doesn’t look likely.

1 Replyi started with no armor. had the Titan set by the time i hit 30. had the ornaments unlocked by the time i hit 35. hit 50 yesterday. all i did was Daily Faction Rally milestones and most of the regular Milestones.
