In pvp they need a serious nerf - one of:
- Halve the ammo (2 grenades per drop)
- lower the damage (minimum 2 grenades for a kill from full health)
Currently they're just as easy to use as rockets but give you 4-6x the killing potential.
PvE is a different matter of course - could maybe do with a damage buff there.

I'd be fine with these changes if they moved all grenade launchers to become an energy weapon. It doesn't feel right that they can compete with rockets with more ammo. This would lessen the fighting lion's exoticness but more can be looked at later with that one. It would just need some new and better abilities

If it's not a Colony, it's either a Play of the Game or a "seizure" launcher with timed detonation. And if it's not any of those 3, it's getting pre-naded forever by that one person with Fighting Lion. Before it had a sort of skill gap, but now it's just a free 100 damage on the person you or your team's about to engage, with 0 risk to the user.

Yeah will be interesting to see how the ammo meta changes with Forsaken. I have a feeling that snipers, shotguns and fusions will be moving back to green ammo, while rockets linear fusions and grenade launchers stay on power - and hopefully with more sniper/fusion/shotgun ammo in the game, power ammo will be heavily reduced once more (once or twice a game like D1 would be ideal IMO).

Quite often it DOES take 2 grenades to kill somebody - and people use grenade launchers left right and centre - right now I'd say they are the most overused power weapon in the crucible. Grenade launchers, similar to rockets, have medium to high range, can fire out 2 rounds almost instantly, and require far less skill than snipers shotguns or fusions to get kills with. Getting a very easy 4-6 or so kills per power ammo box is ridiculous - at least players who pick up shotgun fusion and sniper ammo need to earn their kills by using the ammo skillfully and positioning themselves well. Rockets are ultimate 'no skill whatsoever' weapon in Destiny - 1 hit kill and almost unavoidable, which is why you only get 1 ammo per drop. Grenade launchers are almost as bad - which is why I'm suggesting that they should NEVER be a one hit kill, OR they should drop substantially less ammo.

I have played enough Crucible in Destiny 2 when I see at the colony being overused and fusion rifles being powerful give me lunch at least like power weapon I would much rather have him machine guns back

True, I think in PvP the only thing that needs to be reduced is the amount of ammo they get per pickup
