First wave 7 EP victory
Finally got to experience the full EP completing wave 7. Maybe I’m late to the party but it was really fun and intense. Hell I was happy to just get past phase 3. If only Bungie would do something to match make so others can enjoy it as well.

5 RepliesI got my first 7 wave EP completion last night that's all I got because I didn't have the fcukin key on my hunter (and missed out on first part of armour/weapon) Stupid of Bungie to lock out the loot after such a battle (all because of a key ....at least leave it with postmaster & need the key to unlock) Word of warning to all, Ishtar/D2App doesn't allow movement of keys (Only went to Mars to find lost fragments) Someone started the EP during a patrol, I stuck in there are with perseverance and added players (8 in total at the end, 6 around 360+, 2 at 380+), we beat it

1 ReplyEP is a failed mode for one reason. Players are to low power.. Land on Mars.. check those randos.. 95% are well below 370.. They added a "horde" mode but gave players no path to max level other than the abysmal raid. So to run the one new content we got which was ment for 3 you need 5 player's to run old content, thats not very fun. D2 has about 20% raid completion. You tell me thats not a problem. If player's were closer to 380 you would see more ppl running it or even willing to. Right now 3 and 5 drop garbage.. No low level will struggle for tokens.

I’m not high enough 😂 got to wave 4 when I was 340 and not played since. Nothing to play for really, no gear I want.

Right after reset, I jumped on and went to Mars for the Flashpoint. My load-out was bad for even thinking about doing a Protocol, but I was just running around with odd weapons and having fun. A couple Guardians showed up and one of them fired off an event. "Well crap, ok... I'll do what I can to help out". The first wave went pretty good and a couple more showed up. People started looking like things were 'gelling' and I KNEW it could turn into something. I yanked my laptop open and grabbed gear from another character. Went into my character screen, equipped some decent tools and jumped back in the fight. Level 4 was a little rough, but looked good. Before I knew it, we were in level 7 and all Hell was breaking loose! When we dropped the boss... That's the first time I've gotten goose bumps from this game in a while. I think the last time I had that exact same reaction was when I had Black Spindle drop. Got my emblem, a nice Mark, a couple new Shaders and a shiny new Ikelos SMG. :) FUN beginning of reset!

14 RepliesI think EP is really good fun.... IF you spawn into an area with another 4-5 doing it. Unfortunately that's proved near impossible. It's a sad state of affairs that people need to LFG for public events. I've been in a few areas where I've sent messages to random people in the area if they wanted to do EP and they've been keen. Most of the time the messages are ignored. Can't blame them, but it does seem a bit dumb that this is "working as intended". Don't come at me with the "it was designed for 3 people to complete" crap either.

2 days ago I had never finished a level 2. I caught a group and we did level 7 3 times. All randoms. We joined a party after the first.

i've come close so many times... and i'm in a fairly active clan, sadly everyone want to simply cheese it... you end spend an hour trying to get 9 people in one instance... i'll just wait till i'm higher powerlevel and find 2 more and simply 3 man it the way it was meant to be done...

1 Reply100% We ended up putting a team together last night and ran it for over an hour.. and I kept saying to myself... this is just amazingly fun!!!... but only if you get lucky like I did last night. I met 8 good players last night though.. so there is kind of a perk.. But this needs to be opened up for people to experience. A 9 player activity is just amazing, especially when working together calling out each specific need and job. I can guarantee I would have more friends on and playing if we could do escalation together.

2 RepliesEscalation Protocol was a great idea that was implemented terribly. Nobody wants to 3-man it. Everyone wants to play it, but Bungie refuses to put matchmaking even though we need it. I had a few players actually just quit the game cuz of this.

Same, beat it a bunch of times yesterday with an awesome group of randies. 8 of 9 people got the shotgun in 6 boss kills. No one left after receiving their shotgun. I got it on our 6th and final run and I opened the chest twice and got cloak and boots for my hunter. I agree it should be more accessible but there are so many people on LFG with the instance started. We had one 385 and everyone else was 375 or less. Some of the most fun I’ve had in D2, so much mayhem and carnage.

18 RepliesCan we just admit it's a stupid mode? How can it be good when someone can solo everything up to the boss, but it requires more than 3 people to possibly do enough damage to kill the boss? The mode requires you to bypass the fireteam size mechanics in order to have enough people around for DPS.

Ran it last night with 5 other people with us all being 385 and we did it twice. With myself included, we had two warlocks, two hunters, and two titans. Two of us running Boop Cannon and the rest running Sleeper and Shotguns. Not a bad runs. I even left the party for the second run-through. Once everyone knows what they’re doing and are at max light, it’s not bad to run. Still just HATE my RNG because I Still have many gotten the shotgun and now I won’t for two weeks, but oh well.
