Hand cannons are super weak and need to deal more damage and target acquisition.

Honestly they need to adjust the range stat on the sights. You have about 20 meters base range. I figure you get about 1 meter every 6 stat points. The sights that give range need to be competitive with the other stats. They need to double the range on sights that give range. Other than that I guess they are fine as far as where they fit with other weapons ranges and where Bungie wants them. There time to kill is another thing though.

Crimson is a boss, Better Devils is prime for many situations, Crimil's Dagger is a monster and Jack Queen King 3 is kind of a sleeper, IMO... Really depends on what your up against and talking PVP or PVE?!?

There is nothing in this game that'll make them broken yet. That means even with more range and more trigger and hip fire spam won't make them broken. The 3 god hand cannons aren't in the game and neither is luck in the chamber. They'll still take 4 shots to kill or 3 with kill clip. But kill clip doesn't stay active that long. 2) Recoil on hand cannons need to be reduced straight across the board. It doesn't have to be a huge reduction. Just enough to get the gun back to the rest position a little quicker. I can't say how many times I've lost engagements with the enemy at a sliver of health. That's because they took too long to get the shots off. Now both of these things may not all have to be done but either or would still work. I love hand cannons. I do use them now and I'm ok with them. Sometimes I just wonder if they could be better without them being broken.

Problem with hand cannons is there fine in pve, but pvp there really bad at handling this weapons, and are suppose to reward precision shots like 1 2 3 dead headshots, but they feel so clunky to handle at times. This for ps4 and xbox on pc there great no problem, mouse aim is the best, on control the handling and target acquisition feel off in D1 they were great, and part of the meta, D2 they feel forgotten. I am hoping forsaken they remember to do better for them, because I love using my hand cannon for pve and pvp as my hunter cause I want her to be a gunsling sharpshooter, but in pvp its pluse rife, auto or GTFO.

Pulses are 2 and 3 tap at a insane range. Scouts and Hand cannons need to be 3 taps to the head to fix this crutch fest called the crucible. Nothing but scrubs crutching on Graviton Lance.

You obviously haven't tried *inhale* Sturm Annual Skate Living Memory Finite Impactor Midnight Coup Crimmil's Dagger West of Sunfall 7 These are all very powerful hand cannons. If you cant use these then this is a simple case of get good.

Autos, handcannons, pulses, etc etc. All need buffs to ttk...just in general, we need a quicker ttk.

Edited by HaouRyuk: 6/15/2018 3:48:43 PMIt's not that they're weak, more that they're too slow, it's the same for high damage scout and pulse rifles, they do the damage but not fast enough to get the killing shot, most guns are geared for speed and speed beats damage in Destiny so.. So they either need to up the damage further, or increase the fire rate

They're tough but oh so satisfying to use. I know you are going against the grain with the current meta, but snapping some in someone's skull region with Steady Hand gives you feels in all the good areas.

And a flinch reduction, along with the awkward recoil patterns they get, especially the Sun Shot exotic.

Yes, been trying to use them in Crucible but their TTK just cannot compete with most of the other gun types in the game.

Hand cannons lost their place in the game with smg's and sidearms IMO. Also VW (yes bring the meta user hate for saying it) should not have a lower TTK, it should be HC have the lowest TTK but have rapid range falloff. Maybe they'll bring back TLW and we'll see 0.63 TTKs again. That is really where I believe HCs belong in the mix. Super fast TTK but not accurate at all at range. The true skilled tool of a gunslinger.
