There’s lots of chatter about this Bc of E3 forsaken story bits coming, but Bungie, IF you do this it will be a major blunder. Not because you can’t kill characters off. But because: A) NONE of your characters are developed enough for their death to have the kind of impact it should. B) Cayde is literally your ONLY witty character. He is saving your narrative. Killing him means the remaining writing will be unbearably boring. KILL ZAVALA, His dialogue is HORRIBLE. C) Killing the only good thing going for in game story (Cayde) often does the opposite of getting people invested— it makes them quit. If you kill Cayde, expect people to be spamming the skip button through every cutscene, even on the first time through, because literally nothing about your story will be enjoyable enough to watch. D) Apart from lore youtubers, YOU’VE NEVER EVEN EXPLAINED [u][b]HOW[/b][/u] A GUARDIAN [u][i]CAN[/i][/u] DIE. Fix your story before you pull a stupid stunt like killing your 1 good character off to try and get people invested. If you want to kill cayde later, when it actually means something within the context of a well told story, then that’s your prerogative, but it’s a mistake to do it now And I’m telling you, it will backfire.
