As someone who enjoys competitive fps games I find it very frustrating to be playing a game, trying to gear up my titan efficiently, and there are a bunch of players with 0 interest in winning a team game just spamming out challenges and dying 10-20 times each in a deathmatch. This seems super toxic to me as it ruins my enjoyment of the pvp modes, it did in Call of Duty and it can in any competitive game. Half Capture games I play people have 0 interest in actually capping the points. Seems to literally counter the objective of the pvp element when Bungie makes getting the late game gear from grinding/challenges way more appealing.
I've read that Bungie wanted to make Destiny 2 PVP more watchable, well a good start would be making people actually try to PVP instead of complete challenges? Just like basic critical thinking. Bit of salt but I don't feel like typing out a super in depth analysis, I think most users have experienced this, just a matter of how annoying they find it. And I know i can play Lone Wolves, I've just always preferred the coordination a squad or duo brings to games. Just tired of having my streaks thrown off by 3 stacks of people with 0 interest in winning, some games I'm upwards of 30 kills and even that is not enough.

Well then maybe it’s time to take challenges and weekly rewards out of the crucible. That way the people that want to pvp only have to worry about that and people that hate pvp but need the weeklies (like myself) can stop going in to the crucible permanently.
