Avoiding the lack of cool loot topic my thoughts on the new FR changes on day 1 are mostly positive. I am having a lot of fun using my bubble Titan with Acrius load-out and the difficulty spike is very cool. The renown system is a welcome change but unfortunately seems to be the only thing new to the FRs (besides the necessary account bound pledge per week). This system only seems like a way to stop farmers from doing what they do at a quicker pace... which is fine, I guess? Does it make the FRs fun, yes. Does it amp up the difficulty on an otherwise trivial event, definitely. Is the renown risk worth the reward, ehhhhh. It would be great for someone to break this down but in short terms: you can farm heroic public events much faster with no difficulty spike, then farming lost sectors with a 5x stack of renown and the HPEs feel like they net you more tokens in a set amount of time then lost sectors. They are fun to stack and go through with a full fireteam but going alone is a slow grind and has way to many dangerous variables. What is weird/funny to me is that the health pools that drop only seem to drop when I am full health or am already healing past 51%. When my shields are down and I am in the red, I can't seem to kill enough enemies to drop some health. Best use Wormhusk for hunters, Devour for Warlocks among the other awesome Warlock healing items, and Bubble Shield Titan. Probably bring Crimson along to. After all of this, the reward for completing a 5x stack LS is great fun but it doesn't feel like its worth the time. Farm HPEs over and over and you'll get that Graviton Lance Catalyst in no time.
