For everyone saying "Its just an emote, just chill":
Realize than many of us bought Destiny and the expansions =100 $
Then they destroyed the tower and lost everything we had
They release this crap they call D2, we get scammed = 60$
We buy the expansions hoping they improve the game = 35$
Bungie reintroduces old exotics we already had and paid for in the first game.
Then the expansions use story missions as strikes and the campaigns are short and shit all over the lore.
And then Bungie has the nerve to make an emote unobtainable unless you pay 10 bucks which is half what Warmind costs.
Honestly I don´t care if the game allows you to buy the emote but at this foking point at least make it obtainable by playing as well.
No one would complain if you can only get it by paying if they game was free. But its not, its a full priced game, currently mediocre and worse than the first with items behind paywalls.
So thats why. Thats why this is too much bullshit.

you know a date night that includes a decent restaurant ( not a PoS chain eatery like Outback, or TGI's), a show, and a few drinks will easily run you 150 bucks for about 4-5 hours entertainment.

I love the game, calm down lmao

Unfortunately what you mentioned was just the tip of the iceberg. Bungie promised us an “immersive story experience” with “tons of loot” and “lots of places to explore” For $60. Only to have “lots of places to explore” and “tons of loot” blocked off by DLC for another $35. And I don’t even know what the hell happened to that “immersive story” Then, they took away all of your relevant weapons and armor by making you grind some new ones that honestly weren’t as good, for $40. And then? Some filler bullshit that came out of nowhere about SIVA even though there was zero mention of it in anything of the lore prior. For $30. Let’s not forget all the nerfs that took place over this period as well. Shotguns? If you are out of melee range you might as well be using a party favor for damage. Fusions? Nerfed into the point of becoming a meme. Auto rifles? They were the best. Hands down. Pre-nerf they would decimate. They made you feel powerful. Now you might as well be using a marshmallow gun. Snipers? I remember when they could hold 20+ rounds. Same with fusions and shotguns. And then? Destiny 2. $60 to grind it all over again while feeling like a cardboard warrior with nerf guns.

Destiny 2 is a new game. It’s not a DLC of D1.

You do realize that it can cost up to $300 a year to play World of Warcraft...,, ....and Blizzard will still charge you the equivalent of $30 for the in-game equivalent of an exotic sparrow? But PC gamers understand that the level of service that MMO like games require come at a price. You aren’t playing God of War. You are playing a game that requires constant maintenance and a regular pattern of content updates. And your base price plus season pass doesn’t cover that cost.
-
But WoW is f* ckin awesome.
-
So it’s more about whether you like the game than the actual cost? Which was my point. All this complaining about Eververse is a distraction from what is really the issue and what is really bothering people. Nothing Bungie does with EV is going to please people until Bungie fixes the game. Once Bungie does that, no one is going to care what they do with it.

I’m not trying to get deep here. All you. I bow out.
-
You gave an honest answer. I’m just putting that answer in perspective.
-
So, what s your point? Other games/devs charge more? I can counter that saying other games are free *cough* Warframe *cough* and way better than Destiny 2
-
There are no games that are actually free. Digital Extreme makes LOTS of money with Warframe. They just don't make it off of the ENTIRE player base. They make their money off of hardcore players who have more money than time to throw at the INTENTIONALLY super-grindy game. That is constantly hitting you up for money to reduce the grind to something reasonable. In the 2 months I played Warframe, I spent more money on the "free to play" Warframe, than I did the entire first year of Destiny 1.
-
Yeah but the base game was and is free no matter how you put it. Thats why microtransactions are ok there. They are not in Destiny 2 when you have to pay already for the base game

Edited by InspectorTaco: 5/24/2018 3:47:50 PMI agree, but you have to keep in mind that World of Warcraft delivers much better, decisively premium content, while Destiny.. well, it does not.
*giraffe noise*
-
Which has nothing to do with the emote, and everything with the billion dollars in sub fees Blizzard collects from its players every year.
-
I don’t think you’re going to understand what I have to say, so let’s agree to disagree on that.
*giraffe noise*
My focking point exactly
