Now I'm gonna start off by saying no, I don't always solo play and a fair bit of the time I've got a bud or three who can que with with me. However, getting matched up with 3 solo players against a full clan fireteam of 4 in competitive...well...that is absolutely punishing for a mode that has no radar and limited lives. Now, if you still gained progress towards your glory points regardless...maybe I could say its not so bad, and which is why in quickplay its w/e move onto a better game. But at the same time I can't because well, why is it fair that anyone gets grouped up against random people who aren't going to bother communicating and has to fight full teams who are on PSN, Xbox chat, or discord or w/e a group may use, and gets punished because they have to play 3 times harder than normal for a statistically lower chance to win just to maintain positive points, a win streak, or otherwise. I don't see any incentive to go grind glory solo when the last 6 matches I played against were me and 3 other solo players fighting a fireteam of 4, doing our damnest but still getting absolutely crushed because the fireteam has a instant edge in familiarity with each other and communication and get punished the same way if I lost a much more fair game of all solo players. Not to mention god forbid a game gets won against a fireteam well we receive again, the exact same rewards for beating a team of solos. I can see a lot of solo hardcore pvp players getting disintrested in playing the game now because they can't make any fair progress in competitive against the slough of fireteams they have to fight. I'm fine with the implementation of a ranked system and the way it works is pretty neat too, but it shouldn't be punishing to solo que players. Personally I'd like to see the return of a a que list that only solo players can go into for a fair que environment. This gives an option to those ultra "I can fight a whole team" hardcore types to keep chugging themselves at fireteams while the more "I'd like a fair fight" minded people can have a place to que into and not worry. Something seriously needs to change in the matchmaking and what that change is likely will not be perfect but something needs to be done for the solo player community to at least make crucible fair game for all.
