This is Cozmo your new Community Manager. I have assumed control of the mission.
This is where you help us make the game better.
Your feedback has a huge influence on how we continue to support Destiny over time. At this very moment Bungie User Research is paying attention to this forum. I will also be searching threads here for good ideas to bring to the developers. By sharing your opinion, or “up wishing” the ones you agree with, you can have a positive impact on the games you play.

2 RepliesEdited by ISOL4TE: 5/16/2018 12:24:28 PMMy attachment to this game is severed at the moment. And I wish it wasn't. Because I, like a lot of other people, WANT destiny to be a success. For me personally, it's about investment. I don't mean monetary investment. I mean an investment of interest into this franchise. I've spent about $500 on this franchise at this point probably (this means physical goods as well as microtransactions, not to mention the price of the games and season passes themselves). And the first and what felt like the biggest slap to the face came when this game retracted their idea of this being like a 10 year adventure. Things did not carry over. I don't mean gear necessarily. But even a lot of cosmetics, things that showed off the experiences from D1 were trashed. They were just emblems or shaders, sparrow skins or ghost skins, etc. Nothing ground breaking or essential on the surface. But what they represented was an investment. An investment into this 10 year journey. A collection of experiences and events that we shared together as a community. All of it gone. I wasted quite a few bucks on dumb pins just to have a "halloween emblem" or "valentine's sparrows" only to learn that none of it would be coming along. And, well, to find out the first 3 years of my Destiny experience have amounted to nothing more than 2 or 3 altered dialogue lines in D2...well, what's to keep me invested in a "10 year plan" if 3 of the 10 year plan amounted to nothing more than some altered voice lines in D2 and maybe a small meager, pathetic showing of emblems that I earned in D1. This has destroyed and semblance of a "10 year plan" that feels worthwhile and more importantly, shattered my investment into the game. (And yes, this does translate into monetary investment as well, because for all the money I spent on getting masks and sparrows for Dawning or Festival of the Lost, what do I have to show for it? Nothing. And that makes it bitterly apparent that buying silver dust in D2 is just pointless.) My feedback would be find a way to bring over all the things that represented investments into the game for the players. All of the emblems, all of the shaders (and yes, this means reverting to the old shader system again, which most people enjoyed more anyways. Having a quantity of shaders sucks instead of just a shader section in a kiosk), all of the ghost skins and emotes, sparrows and ships, useless cosmetics that represented something like the Dawning armor or Halloween masks. All of that. Because when that comes back, so might the investment into this as a franchise that follows a 10 year plan, instead of what it currently is. If all of that comes back, then maybe the players will come back too with some faith in what the franchise is.
