Small things that may give longevity back to daily play.

Hey Ho. Just a small list of things, mainly elements we all became accustomed to throughout the Destiny life cycle so far. Some could be quality of life adjustments. Some pure enjoyment activities for solo players, time fillers etc. Elements could possibly be adjusted to involve fire teams and added to clan progression. So here goes: [b]Ranking system with vendors[/b] -Crucible/Vanguard/Cryptarch/Gunsmith. (gear rewards at particular milestones,25-50-100 and so on) [b]Rewards could have additions of emotes,cosmetics and engrams between the milestone markers[/b] Given the majority of us shard 90% of legendaries with this loot pool? [b]i.e mat gains.[/b] Possibly even cayde with flashpoint clears? [b]Arms Day[/b] -Weapons testing and/or manufactures pledge. Option to change on weekly reset. [b]You’ll rank each accordingly that will offer, weapon components with each milestone hit and/or completing all available weapon tests.[/b] [i]An addition of one weapon per reset with randomly rolled perks per account. A choice of the 3 designers[/i] Weapons as rewards could be tricky as most of the loot pool is already out there. Maybe offer a large chunk of XP adding towards your Bright Engram progress. Plus a bunch of gunsmith materials. Or legacy legendaries, if you know what I mean!! [b]Ikora[/b] -Heroic modifiers for her heroic meditations. [b]Possibly as conditions or added incentives to raise difficulty for added rewards. Not too dissimilar to how we turn faction rally lost sectors to heroic. Something to keep you on the ball and not rush through a harder blander ver of an already completed story nod.[/b] Rewards could be a mixture of gunsmith mats,bright dust(sparingly) with an added choice of exotics after completion of all her weekly meditations. [i]increase amount of weekly meditations[/i] [b]Zaaa vaaa laa[/b] -High value (NAMED) target eliminations. [b]Bounties added for X amount of patrol world eliminations. This could be a single bounty sheet listing say 5-10 High value targets across all systems.[/b] (A minimum of 2 patrols completed to gain locations data from downed enemies on the Targets whereabouts?) -High Value targets added to strikes [b]With the addition of high health named yellow bars per strike. It gives incentive for players to pace a strike more attentively. Our ghost could prompt us on strange readings corrupting the light. Commence seek and destroy[/b] -Strike Boss kill count. [b]Exactly what it says on tin. Strike boss kill count markers met, give a simple reward of one powerful engram per Boss. 10 of X boss per reset etc[/b] (Given you’d have to play a playlist at the will of rng it could take some time. Limit 3 per reset) Rewards could span a mixture of emblems,vanguard shaders and ghost shells having specific traits to patrol zones. Glimmer plus the XP you’ll gain through partaking of the kills. [b]Amanda Holiday[/b] -The return of the elusive time gates. [b]With a weekly reset leader board of completion times and efficiency, displayed next to Amanda. Courses can be completed in no specific order, giving players the freedom to find their own best routes. Possibly implement some of the Sparrow racing league elements to spice things up[/b] Rewards could be tokens gained on completion of each grouping of gates per planet/zone. Redeemable via Amanda to gain rep through her ranks. Each rank offers Legendary Sparrows with random rolled perks and custom sparrow shaders. Possibly adding a pool of sparrow racing emotes and emblems. [i]additonal methods for gaining XP through Amanda could be via bounties having tasks like: X amount of tricks performed in strikes, patrols and so on.[/i] [b]Raspu...err I mean Cayde[/b] -He’s a tough one, already having the flashpoint goal and now we aren’t tied to any specific class vendor as a mascot. [b]possibly x weapons type kills per slot per planet?[/b] Any ideas for him, throw them into the comments. Come to mention, we never found out how he got his arm back?? Should have made it BRIGHT RED (; [b]Mr bored bot[/b] -On the way to the ship hanger, left side of the tower. Could act somewhat like the crucible and vanguard vendor from D1 only this time he is a Currency Exchange of sorts. [b]Planet material grinding has always been a chore. Even with cheat ghosts and caydes reveals I don’t know anyone that enjoys it?? So how about giving the option to trade mats for mats. We all gain mats while doing specific tasks on specific planets without noticing. Some players may be out chasing for certain planetary shaders/gear/weapons etc. Giving the option for players to trade unwanted for wanted could ease the pain a little[/b] [b]Heroic activities playlist with[/b] [i]Matchmaking[/i] [i]leave matchmade teams in Strike playlists untill individuals opt out.[/i] - A simple mix of Heroic Stories and sub stories allowing players (aimed for solo gamers) to match with other players for slightly harder game play. No strings attached. A lot of gamers I’ve come to realize enjoy the aspect to matchmake with others not having to lfg, party up or actively search for a fire team for a few hours of multiplayer fun. Many have anxiety issues or home environments not perfect for the whole social aspect of Destiny as Bungie pushed in D1. (Use these tools, make friends etc) [b]The D1 strike playlist system was perfect[/b] -If a player chooses to stay after a strike they stay. Usually signaled by sitting down lol, the team could stay match made for hours if they chose and form a real team. This was prime for those times you wanted to have backup but weren’t in the mood to talk tactics etc. Usually turning towards things we were all frustrated with in game. Throw some music on, jump in a playlist. Shoot stuff 👌🏻 [b]rewards can be minimal here as the gameplay aspect may be rewarding enough for many, the natural XP gains and materials found through play time may be plenty[/b] Last but not least (for now) [b]Bounty Vendors and Quest tabs[/b] It became the soul focus for many of us in D1. I understand it has been highlighted since and the multiple seasons of content must be there before we can start achieving similar goals/ books etc. Though, have a small think tank throw some ideas together I’m sure this talented studio can come up with something holding a little longevity? If you read all that,awesome! If the thread picks up and anyone has additional ideas that could work. Comment and I’ll get them added to the post. If you have gripes with any of that, comment too and it can get revised or removed.     I feel like some of this is already basically there... for example your “reward tier for vendors” is exactly the reward package tiers that are there.. sounds like you just want it to be harder... which I don’t care for really Bc the rewards are the same... new rewards like maybe a vendor specific exotic or something for that grind tier would be good tho! and a lot of the others u mentioned are just stat tracking... if you’re into that kind of thing that will work for you, but I personally think being able to tinker with your subclass, mods, and stats more, along with alot of new loot is really what’s needed...
