Iron Banner 6v6 is being postponed
Due to a late-breaking issue that’s been discovered through internal testing, Iron Banner 6v6 is being postponed.
We’ve found that all players in 6v6 matches are returned to Orbit with ANTEATER errors when reaching certain score and timer conditions. We are actively working on a fix for this issue, but will not be able to release this by April 10.
As such, Rumble will be replacing Iron Banner next week as the featured gametype in the Weekly Crucible playlist. As noted in yesterday’s blog update, Rumble will now feature 6-player Free-for-all with additional spawn fixes coming in Hotfix 1.1.4.1 on Tuesday. Iron Banner will return as soon as we can issue a fix. Sorry for the inconvenience.

As long as I can still grind out for the last of the ornaments I missed last iron banner I'll be okay but idk why you guys didn't just add the regular Iron Banner for us to have a something this week. Good thing they are ornaments too because I HAVE NO SPACE in my vault

While I hop on to do the NF when I’m bored now, the only time I deal with anything Destiny related is seeing what is happening with “weekly” updates and whatnot. I just can’t get excited for anything they try to hype anymore. There is really nothing there that hasn’t already been done. Surprised they didn’t just push it out tomorrow and blame it on the users connections.

One has to wonder if the current platform and the amount of data/ memory D2 uses isn't going to be an issue with other quality of life issues. We're already seeing it with raids and tower loading. What will happen if we get random rolls or expanded skill tree options? Now instead of one better devils roll, their could be 10 different rolls that needs to be loaded.

In year 3 of D1, they would just extend maintenance for a few hours to fix an error code. There was only 4-5 people working on D1 in year 3, is there less people working on the D2 salvage operation?

1 ReplyNot surprised. 6v6 was too hard for them to maintain in D1. That became obvious when they shitcanned it in D2. I remember when Toad announced that PvP was going to be 4v4 across all modes at the D2 reveal and the place when crazy. Everyone was clapping because everyone clapped at everything Toad said.

I believe it’s called horrible spawns in 6v6. Its bad enough in 4v4. You guys are going to need bigger maps and better spawn coding before 6v6 will be remotely playable.

3 RepliesHow many passes do you give someone? OR is right. Iron Banner 6v6 been announced since January and 4 days before its due they found a bug. Was anyone really surprised? What is wrong eith D1? Even though they are in lower res, character armor and weapon models look better detailed (by far) and much more unique. Gameplay is better and activities, choices, progression, weapon loadouts, and random rolls arw all better. It would likely be easier to being back IB and trials to D1 then to fix the hot mess D2 is. Ita a freaking disaster and a tour de force for incompetence at EVERY level.

2 RepliesThat’s OK. Was planning to play next week. Rumble is nor my thing so I can grind MHW until Iron Banner kicks in or DLC, whichever comes first. I am not upset because now I can balance my games. Gotta get that upgraded bow. I found my happy medium. But I do enjoy Destiny better now. I am giving the tech team some breathing room. Go for it and fix rhis beautiful game so we can finally come home again.
