I do understand why streamers and YouTubers. They have FOLLOWERS in the 100Ks+. it is easier and cheaper to reach a vast amount of players.that is my opinion. i do hope one day to visit bungie HQ if i go to Seattle. i loved and still love D1 and i am hoping for better, kick @$$ D2. The problem is that it is taking too long to deploy hot fixes and new fresh contents.

Why do you want to visit HQ? It's not like they give tours of the place or would be willing to let some random person beyond the reception desk.

  • Actually false. It happened recently.

  • By you? I know they will make exceptions for "special guests", but just a random group (or individual) wanting a tour?

  • Some guy posted recently, he was standing outside and they invited him in, like you said they wouldn't allow a big group but nice to know they do it on the occasion.

  • Playing Devil's advocate for a moment here (not meant as a 'bash' to you ;) )... I can make a post saying that I was standing outside of the White house and Ivana invited me in for drinks. Doesn't mean it happened. :P Back in reality though, I did find this:
As at the previous Bungie Towers, tours and walk-ins are still prohibited. However, pre-authorized visitors to the studio can walk around a large "visitors area" that contains memorabilia, trophies, and awards from prior Bungie games. The visitors area also includes several large "contract tester" areas in which contract testers, visitors, and other non-Bungie employees can play the latest and greatest in Bungie software on dozens of televisions and XBox 360s.
http://bungie.wikia.com/wiki/Bellevue_Offices It does seem like I recall the post you are talking about. I wonder if the visitors area was what he was talking about? I was within a hundred miles of there about a year ago. I DEFINITELY would've made the trip if I had known about the visitor area. If for nothing else, just to say I had been there. :)

  • Right after posting that last reply, I went and hopped in the shower (yeah, I'm truly not a sweaty basement dweller (most days)). I'm standing under the water and thinking "man, that really was comparing apples to freight trains". :) I also thought I recalled the person posting some pics, but wasn't sure my brain was firing properly. Thanks for the confirmation of what I was thinking. I definitely wouldn't mind having some pics of Ivana after a few drinks. ;) Whether or not a person likes the man she married... She is still damn nice eye candy that I wouldn't mind unwrapping. I am curious as to what they mean by "pre-authorized visitors". I do get up in that area every couple years and still wouldn't hesitate to drop by and see what they would allow me to see. The next time I know I'll be in the area, I need to contact them and see what is needed to be authorized.

  • I don't get up to that area very often now, but yeah... I think it would be pretty fun if they were willing to do some type of tour. I can understand why they don't though. The threat of violence would be a VERY real issue. ESPECIALLY with this community. Some of these people take video games a bit more seriously than they should.
