Agreed. But one major thing is being overlooked: the Tiger engine is antiquated trash: even if the had the magic formula to make the game worth it again - the time taken to implement the changes with their current engine would take almost a year at a minimum. This is the same engine where computers must be left on overnight to compile lol

  • Disagree. Focus groups like this aren't about major game design issues....yet. They are about game **tuning** and quality of life issues. A focus group like this would have been very helpful in Bungie seeing that the movement changes that they made to the game would frustrate players, and not go over well with veteran players....and that Eververse would annoy players because it pressured players for resources that they feel are precious, rather than (like Warframes) pressuring them where they feel flush. IOW. Warframe's MTX system is MUCH more aggressive and in-your-face than Eververse. Despite the fact that Warframe is brazenly pay-to-progress. Digital Extremes gets away with it because they accept payment either in ridiculous amounts of time....or money. Players who have lots of time don't mind giving it up, because they avoid having to pay money. Players who have lots of money don't mind giving it up, because they avoid the obnoxious grindiness of the game. So everyone's happy. Eververse failed because it did the opposite. It was constantly in your face at every stage of the end-game, and putting it closer to the Postmaster than the Cryptarch was, was a dumb idea. Players without much money felt like they were constantly being pressured to spend. The lootboxes made it impossible for players with money, but little time to buy the things they wanted directly....so they felt pressured to PLAY more than they wanted. So everyone's pissed off at it. When you give up control and start working more collaborative with your customers, rather than putting yourself in the position to have to constantly guess....it becomes easier to avoid mistakes like this.

  • Hello again Kelly. Yet the Warframe community actively help newcomers to gain knowledge to bypass the "Pay to progress" thing.

  • Money isn’t the only valuable resource. Time can be more valuable than money.
