What’s up cosmo. Being a player since alpha and logging in massive amounts of hours (enough where I could not argue if my wife divorced me), I will reveal some things that D2 desperately needs and I will tell you most of it is not new to you because it was in D1. Strike specific loot- I realize efforts are already being made here but c’mon dude how was this not available at launch? Heroic/prestige rewards- right now, no reason to struggle through them. There needs to be incentive. Raid weapon perks- this is particularly a sore spot for me because I love raids! WHY WERE THEY REMOVED AT LAUNCH? we need them back big time and better than the mods we have. PoE, archons forge, court of oryx type activities- don’t know why they were not included at launch- definitely gives people something else to do Random rolls- I understand some rolls did provide a significant advantage but they kept people playing. I will admit masterworks help, but they are bland. Increase the stats the masterwork boosts and now we’re talking! I need a reason to keep playing guys! Weapon system- now I realize this is a fairy tail dream, but it was a huge huge mistake to get rid of primary-secondary-heavy . Right now you might be too far invested with the current system, however I do reserve some hope that with a major expansion we could keep the current system for PvP and the D 1 system for PvE. Hidden quests- with D1, you guys hit a home run here. It was absolutely incredible. It was an amazing time to be playing destiny. Why were they left out? Such a baffling decision. Grimoire, dead ghosts- we need more of this. Yet another reason for people to play. You guys have inadvertently created an interesting universe that could easily expand past video games into the realm of LoTR, Star Wars and Star Trek. Your destiny lore community is incredible! Use them (or hire them) to their fullest! Iron banner- please just to back to D1. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Factions- remember when dead orbit had that amazing hung jury? Or that crucible hacksaw? Or that future war cult warpath, or worm wood? Or that vanguard Parthian shot? You get the picture. We need that feel back. Faction wars are still a very very cool idea and could be great to obtain exotic “faction weapons” only during those rallies. Sorry to say cosmo, compared to D1, destiny 2 is in a very bad spot. Clans are dead. I can never find new people to play with. Salt is everywhere- people are frustrated and salt is known to cause high blood pressure (I’m an open heart surgery RN so I know this 😁) That god damn monster hunter game is the level where we should be. Fortnite should be struggling for people not us! We need stuff back bad and I fear our last shot is the expansion 2 in sept. All your employees have to pause on D3 and really fix D2 so that people will by D3- even if it sets you back a year or two we need changes to bring people back. Since I love destiny and really do hate being negative, here was the stuff u guys did right: The mini map is awesome. Lost sectors are very cool. I like the token system for patrolling planets (not for IB, trials, or raids though). For the planets they were cool and could give planet specific coolness. Music, scenery, art, design- all amazing Gunplay- fantastic Story- some improvements from vanilla D1 campaign Raid lair- awesome thing and give me more please. Fast travel- 👍👍

  • I hear ya man. I love everyone’s comments that add on to what D2 needs. So much stuff is wrong with it, it doesn’t feel like it’s in the same video game universe compared to D1. I would bet money a good portion of the problem is activision. They are greedy turds. I find it hard to believe that bungie would purposely hurt their reputation like this. They are a laughing stock. D2 has to be the biggest let down in video game history- right there with mass effect andromeda (even though I was one of the few people who did like it). I am still holding hope they will turn it around. The halo’s really got me into gaming hard core. I know how good bungie can be. They need to listen to their fans and move with haste!

  • MAN!!! Seriously, every word man, when i got into destiny 2 for the first time I thought, "where's everything else??". So definitely know what you mean, i literally couldn't fathom how they even passed this through for final version. Or how they could act so surprised, as if there wasn't already this unspoken agreement from Year 3. How the hell did the slip up this bad? I never played Halo, I only played the Destiny demo before "House of Wolves". INSTANTLY hooked. Bungie can not -blam!- this up. We're literally going back over the Destiny Blueprint. Thankful that someone else is in the same boat.

  • I also agree with most but will add: - Hidden ghost or artifacts or something to collect and show off your treasure hunting skills. The cool part of D1 hidden ghost was having the opportunity to do something different in the game besides shooting stuff. Loved the jumping challenges that came with finding ghost hidden in tight places. - PLEASE bring back at least heavy ammo synthesis. The feel of having full heavy before each boss fight was exhilarating. I don’t like having to spare my heavy during the strike so I will have full heavy at the end to fight the boss.....BORING!!!!

  • I agree with every single point here. Just adding few things: - LEVELING. Imho, the leveling system is what's killed the (end)game. It was better at the beginning of D1: without the instant infusion you had to farm heavily (getting to know everything from every planet and every enemy and every aspect of the game in doing so) to reach the top of the character in every single piece of gear and supers build, the top of the weapons you loved to use and if you were lucky enough to drop a god roll weapon, you had to earn the light level to use it both in pve and in pvp (see IB). The farming is what kept this game alive. - GRIMOIRE, well it's cool to have something to read immediately in game, but why erasing the card system. It was fun to have something to read outside the game, to keep the game alive at an offline level also. - STORY MISSIONS. Along with the previous goes the impossibility to choose the story missions (and the strikes) to replay (so Ghaul is dead and gone, but who the hell remembers things done 6 months ago). You have to wait the rotation from Ikora and not all of them are included...

  • Yup. Very good points. I guess what makes this so irritating is because we all watched D1 morph into a great game. While there were still some issues to discuss, it was just flat out baffling to see bungie remove so many of the things they were applauded for when they added them in. I realize that first 69.99 is the only thing publishers care about and hyping a game and catering it to casuals was a way for them to make bank initially. The hardcore player base is what keeps that game relevant after the first 6 months. Everything we mentioned fueled D1 to end on such a good note. Sequels are supposed to build on its predecessor. They really dropped the ball here and I hope they can fix it all come expansion II. This game has too much potential to just roll over and die
