But as a community we don't know what we want either, the forums and subreddits are contests of the most popular opinion for people angry and upset to bandwagon on, that makes us worse than those who made a mistake.
I'm sorry OP, but I do not agree with this. There is a huge difference between People that make mistakes in life that actually learn from them mistakes and move forward. Then People that keep making the same mistake over and over and over again going nowhere in life. I also disagree that the community doesn't know what they want. Especially knowing they been giving feedback that has been loud and clear that this company has ignored for 3+ years. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/217475644?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=1 Edit: Over a hundred thousand replies between them 2 wish list and it was all thrown in the trash by this company. And that is just the wish list...

  • I wouldn't say 12, but it's up to 6 million from what I understand. Just the first 2 months 2+ million dropped this game.

  • I think bungie did a good job listening to the community, ppl complaing about shotguns, snipers , heavy weapons, grenades, and ppl ask for primary weapon battles and guess what we got that. They took away our special, lowered ability recharge timers. Meele got nerfed too almost forgot about that

Nothing personal, but this PvP BS is why this game is so screwed up. Especially knowing this company has the worst sandbox in this entire world. PvP and PvE should have been separated years ago. IMO no, Bungie did not listen to the PvP gamers when it comes to adjustments for this game. What part of buff primary weapons for an entire year did Bungie not understand? Besides that, since when should PvP be the main focus when it comes to a game like this knowing there is a huge PvE aspect of it and the stupid adjustment are just based off of PvP. See, there are too many gamers that only look at one side of the game and don't even bother to see how it actually effect the other. PvE is literally a pure waste of time and content now in this game.

  • this i agree with. pvp is the fast food end of the gaming business. cheap as crap to make, and you can milk the players over and over. pve requires a lot more, than making a circular map and some gunplay and player characters like pvp. you need story and plot, cutscenes, missions, checkpoints, instancing, all sorts of things. all pvp is, is people running around gloating (mainly) about shooting someone and yelling git gud. im not sure pvp would been any different tbh but separating it from pve would give the chance to make some more content - right now pve once the main story and osiris is over... well you dont have much to do aside from the challenges, and redo adventures, and patrols. with the odd public event in. i would replay the story except they locked it behind a rationing system with ikora. and im not deleting a character i spent 100 hours playing just so i can start over. i need a 4th character to replay the story without long weekly gaps.

  • Theu should have separated pvp and pve. And they listen to pvp because there's more ppl trying to play pvp.

  • You conflate the number of replies to those posts with their coherence, as if all of those people asked for the same thing. Obviously not the case

The numbers have nothing to do with what has been asked for, what has been suggested etc... And that is not including when them wish list were up with the replies from the forum it self. Gamers did not ever ask for the way this game is now. They wanted this game to move forward from the extending content, but Bungie removed Everything that made Destiny unique because Destiny was too hard for them to keep up with creating that content and Activision contract. So instead of using their head and investing in the game, they took the easy way out as usual.

  • Can't speak for Odin , but I knew what I wanted, bigger patrol maps , more fantastic guns and armor, and more raids... pretty much in general everything destiny gave me around yr 3 but more. Half a year later I am still waiting for patrols that aside from edz don't make the moon look gigantic, loot that actually makes me happy I got it , and a raid that doesn't seem to take inspiration from Japanese game show. And I feel a majority of people wanted this as well, so the idea that we don't know what we want is absurd

Just this little bit has been talked about many times and a lot of other things have been as well when it comes to improvements to the game. Most wanted this game to expand from the existing content. They had a base game and all they had to do was pick up from where they left off and they game plus the player base would have been just fine.

I'm not referring to the kids that cried nerf. I was talking about gamers that actually cared about the direction the game was headed. Yes, D1 had way too many kids crying about the game being to hard for them and Bungie ran with that because working on D1 was too hard for them. It's part of the reason D2 is so watered down and dumb down. Bungie is supposed to at least try to act like adults when creating a game like this and treat the entire game fairly. But they don't and by not doing so is why this game is a mess.

  • if destiny was watered down it was because while its nice for a small number of hardcore gamers to have a game made just for them and too hard for anyone else to enjoy.... such games dont make lots of money unless you have the players paying for the game full price at least two or three times a year to support it. so if it was watered down it was to reach a bigger audience, to recover costs and pay the workers, and support their families, and keep the company and Activision making money. if you want a final destiny which bankrupts the company by all means go down the hardcore gamer route, where a few hundred gamers MUST spend at least $100 a month on the game until its declared done - or else there will be no more nungie and destiny at all. and anyone claiming activision could just sell the rights to another company... Origin was bought by EA. EA talent stripped it. the wing commander series died mid series, with prophecy ending with an unresolved cliff hanger. destiny would not be sold on - but it might become a name for activisions version of a shop or something. maybe an alternative to the battlenet client because thats what EA did with the origin name - turn it into a less featured steam clone.
