Hm...why not just use the Halo weapon system?

Think about it, each of Halo's weapons are somewhat unique in both behavior and appearance. People were satisfied with the weapons in Halo, even though there weren't nearly as many as in Destiny. Why is that, do you think? Well...I think it's because there weren't that many of them. It allowed Bungie to give each one the attention, love, and care that they deserved. None of the games had gamebreaking balance issues or a needlessly complex loot system (Halo 5 doesn't -blam!-ing count. Screw REQ packs). Go back to what I said earlier about all of the weapons being somewhat unique. If I was talking about Destiny, what weapons would you think I was referring to? That's right, the Exotics. Here's a somewhat outrageous suggestion that I'd like to propose: Ditch ALL weapons that are Legendary or below (we could keep a handful of the more widely used legendaries and upgrade them to exotic standard). Have the weapons that we currently use as Exotics be the only weapons available, with each one being given special attention by Bungie to ensure they are all viable yet not overbalanced. Furthermore, there should be plenty more that are themed based on enemy factions, like the Covenant and Forerunner weapons from Halo. Furthermore, similar things should be done to armor sets. There should be a few lackluster ones for each class to serve as the "generic" or "base" armor sets, and the rest should at least look cool, with a few that look absolutely spectacular. These should NOT have any effect on gameplay whatsoever, and should be purely aesthetic in nature. There would be unlockable ornaments for these and also weapons to serve as additional incentive to keep playing. Lastly, abandon the whole concept of inventories vaults. Just allow players to unlock weapons and abilities for their loadout and armor for their character, while still allowing for as much customization as possible for your character's abilities and appearance. As an FPS, the game -blam!-ing SHINES! As an RPG, it's very lackluster. Bungie did good with Halo, and that's the kind of game I think they should stick to. It's too far along for Bungie to make these changes to Destiny 2, but if they can somehow avoid sinking the ship until Destiny 3, maybe then they can do what I would do in their place, and simply make it like a Halo game.
