Why has Ashir Mir still lost his arm then? Wouldn't his ghost replace it?
English
-
Because he's an obnoxious asshole that doesn't deserve any favors.
-
Asher's Ghost is also affected by the Vex. They were both experimented on. His Ghost doesn't seem to be able to do anything, so even with the light back, it's likely that it can't even rez him should he die. He's a special case.
-
They weren’t experimented, but rather involved in an incident in the Pyramidian. Asher’s Ghost, when his arm got infected by radiolaria, also got infected and was completely converted into a Vex.
-
Yeah no Asher literally talks about Brakion ripping off his human arm and replacing it with a Vex one he didn't just take a dip in some spilled milk. Brakion experimented on him, which is why he's so adamant in seeing his demise.
-
Brakion didn’t stick a vex arm on him. During the fight near the radiolaria lake his arm was infected. A grimoire card in D1 talked about him, saying how his arm was transforming into a Vex construct.
-
Yeah but in D2 he talks about it during the Pyramideon strike, and he talks about it after you finish the Io missions. He literally tells us how Brakion tore him apart. Bungo readjusted the lore.
-
You get the “Asher’s arm was torn off” by Brakion based on the dialogue of Asher telling us to “pull his harm off and bring it as a trophy”? That’s more of an “eye for an eye” deal but with arms. His arm and ghost were exposed to radiolaria and transformed. He didn’t have it torn off and he wasn’t experimented on. Yeah, Brakion was the direct reason for his arm converting, but that doesn’t mean it was torn off of him and the Vex put a vex arm on.
-
In the lore when the vex take you or become a part of you your ghost turns into a construct
-
I thought he lost his ghost.

His arm is corrupted by vex
