Going back to D1 makes me SICK
Because of how much better EVERYTHING is.

1 ReplyYep. Just jumped in and ran a few heroic strikes. Solar burn with VOC, Praetorian Foil, and Hunger of Crota, feeling fast and powerful, blaring my Sparrow’s horn... Playing D1 makes me hate Bungie more and more, as it emphasizes how spectacularly they blew D2.

I purchased Destiny 2 a week after it had come out, Thank GAWD I tried out the demo first and waited a few days before I contemplated cracking open the cellophane on that thing. The moment they put parts of the base game behind a DLC paywall AFTER the shit was already previously accessible without it, I was done effective immediately. I've been playing D1 excessively since then. Playing D1 really hurts me because, Like OP said, it reminds you how much better it is and how much better they could have DONE. I didn't log a lot of hours into destiny (probably around 100-200 collectively) but it was -blam!-ing FUN. I tried D2 and yeah it was okay...but like I've seen a lot of people say, the shit is simple. I'm not a PVP person, purely PVE. It's a whole problem when the PVE feels over simplified in a game like Destiny. D2 sucks ass. Bungie lost any amount of faith I had in that game upon the word go and there is no amount of salt that'll change my mind about it. They'd rather have a bunch of c*ck suckers in their circle telling them their game is going fine when its clearly on fire instead of actually fixing the problem. Instead they decided to add onto it. I feel you man. I honest to gawd hoped and wished D2 would have been different.

I've started playing D1 again the last few weeks. Still a great game. D2 on the other hand, stopped playing 3 weeks after release, then only played 2 hours of CoO. Not played D2 since.
