Considering that less than 20% of D2 players have even completed a raid I can't see how this content, that you've stated would only be manageable by seasoned clan players, is going to evolve the community. Sounds pretty elitist to me.

  • Less than 20%? Prestige and Normal? And Eater of Worlds? Either people just can’t do leviathan or they gave up finding people lol.

  • Nope they are just crap! Lol Bring back actual themed raids instead of going to the same place over and over

  • I don’t think they want to. The general community feeling of the Leviathan is that it’s pretty “meh”. That’s not my personal opinion as I haven’t done it so I don’t have an opinion, but from reading the forums and from what I’ve heard from friends and clan mates that’s my consensus. D1s first raid remained its best throughout its lifespan. Add to that the weapon rewards were some of the best the game ever introduced and D1 still hovered around 20% players completing a raid. It’s actually surprising to me that D2 raid completion is so high given the poor reward structure

  • Just from looking at the trophy stats on PS4. Under 20% for normal leviathan. Under 10% (just) for prestige.

  • Isn't the idea of gathering your team to defeat a boss elitist ? Season players is meant towards those who want to lead a pack of raiders to a floor never cleared before or set a high score.

  • I think you’re mistaken

"This teamwork I speak of could only be produced by a seasoned clan and will be restrict it to Clan Access only". That sounds elitist. Possibly it's not what you intended, I can't say.

  • Teamwork, or a seasoned clan, "seasoned" meaning well equipped or armed with powerful (raid like) gear. Higher floors becoming more difficult, ex: less ammo, weaker gear (skull effect), bosses getting smarter, and extremely hard puzzles that would need solved. I did put that wrong because the area would have a boss that could heal himself (regenerate health) at a rate that a single player couldn't normally inflict except with a nighthawk or an equivalent damage output.

  • Ah, right. My mistake then. To me seasoned clan would be a team composed of people that have played together regularly. Which made me think others would get left out of the activity altogether. Which isn't what you meant at all.

  • Well if players are getting left out, why not have them gather a team? Or increase the player cap to eliminate that problem..

  • That's the advantage of activities joined from patrol areas. No need to be in a team, it's drop in/drop out. That's how Court of Oryx and Archons Forge worked. Team up if you want, but no need to.

  • Well in some sense yes, except this area would have a (tower) for meeting up with people before you go into it ( maybe even teleport )

  • I was talking about in difficulty. Possible make (public, open) easy floors for a while, then gradually scaling into a harder and almost impossible set of floors. Like playing (Cod) zombies except not all the same bosses and the terrain would be constantly changing.

  • So like Archons Forge or the Court of Oryx, but it gets more difficult as time goes on, and rewards improve alongside the difficulty increase ?

  • Yes, except rewards in for form of gear will be a ghost exotic. Other rewards could include bright dust for drops or legendary shards in raw form. But those are just ideas

  • Sounds good. I'd like to see a variant of Court of Oryx or Archons Forge come back. I liked them as they were accessible from Patrol areas, which I preferred to the way Prison of Elders worked.
