Content is hard. We only get "raid lairs" now. Whatever dafuq that means.
-
The raids are lacking in so many fields, I am talking about (in your terms, a Raid ) except the raid would now require twice as many players, twice the teamwork, and four times the fire power. Now a raid would also have more than a dozen raid bosses and a (Damn near GODLIKE final encounter. ) Each time your clan completes a floor or "@Galt13 Raid " it will be recorded on your clan staff with a "floors completed text"
-
"Damn near GODLIKE final encounter." Gawd, I read this and think, "another Destiny bullet sponge". Seriously, how long can we move this way and shoot, and move that way and shoot, and move back again and shoot, and do a jig 2.5 times and repeat?
-
bullet sponge ? The player cap for the area would increase to 12 or 18, which would eliminate that problem but the tricky or "GODLIKE" encounter would include his strength and damage output that would slow his attacks to that of the Exploding fire tanks in some of the strikes.

What percentage of the player base ever completes a raid? It’s unbelievably low. Limiting it to clan only and making it more difficult means that it adds no marketable value to the game. Better to focus on a more in depth story, more exciting strikes, better use of lost sectors and a much more fleshed out mod and masterwork system. Those things will actually attract players rather than just appealing to a small minorities sense of elitism.
-
Another way to deal with that is to maybe have it open to everyone, maybe even have Special drops for solo players
-
What that would need is a matchmaking system, something Bungie folks seem loathe to employ for endgame content.
-
Why not create another tower for players who seek to find other players to party up with. This area could serve the sole purpose of matchmaking and have a Mic/No-Mic area for separation?
-
I see where you're coming from with the marketing aspect but it's really not that hard to throw a fee into this expansion, possibly even make it cost bright dust to enter. After most of my clan was upset(pissed) about the clan staffs not being a real item, nor showing a record for our teamwork or prestige raid completions, we have all but quit.
-
Well this I agree with. There should be some value to the clan staff. I view it as a mega emblem and in that sense it’s very lacking.
-
Someone earlier said only 20% of players have completed raids and just the physical copies alone have generated $500 million in sales, therefor that online copies outsold the store copies but ill be nice because its just another option.. Lets add another 500 Million(1 Billion now) and take 20% 500m+500m=(1B-80%=200m)... So we have a potential $200,000,000.00 release on our hands..... Which could still increase sales by social networking and replace fortnights sense of idealism to social media.
-
Your assumption is flawed somewhat in that your idea would still likely appeal only to a small minority of raider completers. I’m in that 20%. I have exactly 3 completions of Crota. Nothing else. What percentage of that 20% is like me? What percent of them never do hard mode or prestige raids? You can’t count them in either. Still, I think you make a good point. I don’t know that it brings people back but, much like the new windows in my house it’ll likely make it easier to sell.
