They did it because they said it was too hard to make content WHEN THEY HAVEN'T MADE ANY CONTENT IN 4 YEARS!!. Ahem... sorry for that outburst. They're making money through Eververse instead of through content. But now they have an easier system to make content and they STILL kept Eververse in the game.

Edited by SmashvilleViking: 3/23/2018 5:01:03 AMThey never said that. Kotaku said that in one of their "theory" pieces. Noone at Bungie ever said that making content is too hard. Man, these forums are good at throwing around misinformation. I bet you also think that Bungie said "You see those mountains? You can go there." When that isn't what was said.
-
No, they is not why the did it. I don’t understand how buying cosmetics are an endgame. The endgame is lacking but for sure isn’t some damn cosmetics. And they did it because they weren’t making enough money to actually make enough content for you bloodthirsty bastards.
-
Nah. They thought they could replace the endgame with Cosmetics. Like Really? REALLY?!! The game is focused around that bitch named Tess.
-
It really isn’t. If you really think it is, then you need to find some better priorities.
-
No this is true. They stated that putting out new content at the pace they did in D1 was too hard. So they stated that in the renegotiated contract That more focus on Eververse would be a way to create more revenue without having to put out new content so often and they could release smaller things here and there.
-
Yeah, I know that is true. But they didn’t put in EverVerse because content was too hard.
-
Bruh. Luke even said it himself in a Vidoc
-
Hit me up with it then.

A big part of any looter shooter is character cosmetics. Just look at any game that's a looter like Warframe for example. Division, and many more. Your character is your extension and people wanna look awesome. Previously this was all in-game. Now if I wanna look cool. I simply have to go do public events all day to get engrams and hope for the best. there is no direct way of getting them. In D1 wrath of the machine, I loved the glowing ornaments. I earned them doing the raid. No through a loot box. I do not get your frustration or anger at a well worded and well-constructed bit of feedback which speaks truthfully. Why not get angry at the lack of Bungie response? You do know there will not be one right? Not one that's meaningful anyway and this silence alone echoes louder than you can imagine. Cause only those that have something to hide, remain silent.

Actually, it’s their fault. They still use an engine from God’s knows when. If it wasn’t for that engine, they could pump out content.
-
This! We are still getting recycled material from D1. Bet you the big September expansion we back on the dreadnought and there is less to do.
-
I swear, all they do sell reused content instead of making new content.
