Since D2 has been a massive failure for the series, I'm sure everyone's well aware of how many of the big YouTubers and community members have either moved on to other games or have gone back to Destiny 1. I put in a solid thousand hours on D1 since the beta on my PS4 and was so hyped to get an even better experience on PC and an even more beautiful game. Instead we got controversy after controversy with the shady practices of Bungie management. What needs to happen, is instead of continuously trying to improve a game that was killed by its creators, work on creating more experiences and content for D1 while also publishing it for PC. This way the people playing your game are at least appeased while the development of, god forbid, D3 is the main focus of the development force at Bungie. Going on a quick tangent, Bungie: [b][u]DO NOT RUSH TO PUT OUT A DESTINY 3. TAKE YOUR TIME WITH D3.[/u][/b] You'll only be seeing a launch full of incomplete content, bugs, and other nasty things a la Battlefield 4 (at least for the buggy launch) as well as vanilla D1 (cut content as a result of Joseph Staten's work having to be cut with only ~16 months left before a launch window.) [i]Also on a side note: What the hell happened to the Age of Triumph posters? IMO they're some of the finest things related with Destiny to have been on the Bungie store and, being a little short on dough while they were for sale, I was unable to get any which was a shame since I had planned on having them all hung up on my wall, VoG, then Crota, then the exotic weapons poster, then KF, and finally WotM. Just disappointing to say that I couldn't see my vision coming to life.[/i] Returning to my point, here's a list of changes that, if done right, could have at least potential in salvaging the Destiny as a franchise: 1. Publish D1 on PC via Battle.net 2. Bring back Trials and Iron Banner to D1 3. Create at least some of the weapons from D2 on D1 (make SMG's an alternative to Sidearms and Shotguns in the Special slot, Grenade Launchers into heavys, etc.) 4. Port at least 1 or 2 of the planetary destinations from D2 (preferably Nessus and Titan to add uniqueness to the collection of planetary destinations in D1) as well as add a small side quest-style story to give us a reason to visit 5. Experiment with the sandbox changes made between D1 and D2 (i.e. changes to supers and how they work, rifts/barricades, etc.) I know that these changes are damn near impossible of Bungie to implement, but somehow if this can be done, then this could do a great many things for the franchise in the future. Tbh the saddest thing for me would have to be letting go of my Discount Darth Maul and having to return to using Arc Blade lol
