Sup everyone, $wagberg here and i just thought of an idea for a potential quest for D2. So this quest will bring back some classic D1 classes as its reward with Sunsingers for Warlocks (which, btw, really helped players when everyone dies in Nightfalls or raids back then), Bladedancers for Hunters, and finally, Defenders for Titans (although the Ward of Dawn for the Sentinel subclass will be replaced with something else if that so happens. I apologize to current Sentinel playing Titans). Method of Starting Quest (since you had to either collect an item or talk to an NPC to start one): Collect “Lost Light” After obtaining the “Lost Light”, you need to get kills with melees and grenades in order for it to “be found”*. Keep in mind that you need to be a certain subclass in order to make progress with this step so it would be Dawnblades for Warlocks, Arcstriders for Hunters, and Sentinels for Titans. Once the light has been “found” report to Ikora Rey, Zavala, or Cayde-6 and then go turn this “found” light into power by slaying Harrock, the Chromatic (not too clever with names, all you need to know is that this boss uses solar, arc, and void shields that changes in each phase) in a strike (im gonna let you guys think of a name for the strike). After he is defeated, head to the Dark Forest and touch the traveler’s shard to awaken the “Lost Light” which would be Sunsinger for Warlocks, Bladedancer for Hunters, and Defenders for Titans. These new (or should i say returning) classes will not replace Dawnblade, Arcstrider, and Sentinel. Instead, it will be a 4th Subclass with trees of their own. I’ll leave it to you guys to determine each classes 2 branches because... well, you are probably more creative idea wise than I am to be honest. I personally want to see “Fireborn” from Sunsinger again. It fit that class pretty well and it, once again, helped their fireteam when everyone died because a Sunsinger self-resurrected and revived their fallen comrades. So there you have it. A concept for a quest idea. What do you think of it?
