I just watched this great vid by Houndish that really resonated with me. Lately I've been post a lot of polls on the feedback forums trying to get the community's majority opinions on different topics, and I feel this is another great one to look at. My intent is only to give the devs at Bungie a clearer picture of what their community wants out of the Destiny franchise. I'm also going to link my other polls at the bottom. So, let's not fight. Let's discuss. A) Bungie had it right in D1. The perfect balance of hardcore and casual content and systems. B) Bungie should go more hardcore with the content and systems than D1. C) Bungie should keep the casual feel of current D2. D) Bungie should go more casual with the content and systems than D2. • I would love them to push the looter/RPG elements more. Wider skill trees for greater build experimentation and customization. Gear sets, Wider stat ranges and RNG weapon rolls, etc. The problem with this is that the variety and complexity added by these things makes PvP a nightmare to balance and you end up with The Division where there are 2-3 top tier builds and must-have weapons and the PvP experience is determined almost entirely by your build instead of skill. It all boils down to one thing. They need to separate PvP and PvE gear and balancing entirely so one doesn't conflict with the other. There's a relatively simple way to do this by just creating each weapon and armor piece with a single pre-balanced set of PvP perks, and a couple pre-blanced PvP builds for each subclass. Entry into a competitive PvP playlist requires all your gear to be using one of these static pre-sets. For PvE or casual PvP it should be anything goes with access to whatever RNG perks and skill builds you want to use. Make it happen!!!
