I Don’t Think the Traveler Should Be Referred To As A God.

Warning: Long-ish Please note: This is not related to real world religions and such, just simply shifting the perspective we have of the Traveler into a new perspective. So, the Traveler ran from IT, going from the outside of the solar system, to Mars, then to us. The Traveler then gave us a Golden Age, then The Collapse happened, then in D2, we went through a second Collapse and are entering a new Golden Age. But let’s think of some things that came to be as soon as the Traveler came. 1. As we all know, Light can’t exist without Darkness. If there’s light, it casts a shadow. So, as soon as the Traveler came, there was a certain amount of time, or the Golden Age, until the Darkness found us again. Basically, the Traveler lead the Darkness here. And with the recent fiasco with Ghaul, IT knows exactly where we are. 2. Later, the Traveler sent out the Ghosts, then later raising up the Risen. However, do you really think that the Traveler did this for us? No. It did this to create a defense mechanism to protect itself, kind of like the Gift Mast (I think it was called) in the Books of Sorrow. Also notice this. The only point that the Traveler responded to a threat is when Ghaul died and became a force that could become a threat to the Traveler. It didn’t wake because it got captured. Would a God let its people get killed and let itself get captured? Now you might say, “The Traveler was still sleeping, and noticed something para casual woke it.” Well, think of it this way. Say you sprained your leg, exhausted after the day, and went to sleep. Are you sure you wouldn’t notice someone put a tight blanket over you and start to suck your life force out? The Traveler doesn’t care specifically about the City. It cares somewhat about its defense mechanism, or us, however the people altogether? No. Edit: Thanks guys for all the replies, however I may not be able to respond to all of them. Reading over my post again I’ve realized that this entire idea kind of supports the god incubator theory, that the Traveler is protecting something inside at all costs. So, if you want a little more detail, there should be posts all over Google about it.
