PC Specs: GPU: NVIDIA GTX 1070 CPU: i7 7700 @ 3.60Ghz RAM: 16 GB After messing around with peoples suggestions and solutions on the issue I've been having with many others, I PERSONALLY came down to a solution that seems to have permanently solved my issue and I would like to share said solution. Open up NVIDIA panel. Go to Manage 3D settings. Then choose Program Settings and in there you should be able to scroll down and spot Destiny2.exe , If not you can add the exe yourself. Then you pick it and scroll through the settings to find Vsync. Set that to adaptive and apply. Now if you run Vsync in game (like I do cause I only have a 60hz monitor) turn that off and voila. Game runs buttery smooth again (at least for me). I haven't tested on a 144hz monitor yet since I'm waiting on one but feel free to let me know if this helped you.
