Now I love Destiny, from a lore standpoint I adore the new additions that Destiny 2 has brought. One thing that I just can’t ignore is the Vex and namely why their heads have changed in the time between D1 and D2. I will state it simply, we may be witnessing the evolution of the Vex.
As some of you may know the “Precursor” Vex are, to our knowledge, the first of the vex which have gaps in their head “plates” (also note that precursor head size has not changed in D2). Next we have the normal vex of D1 with their similar in size heads to that of the precursors except with the previously mentioned gaps filled in. The normal vex of D1 also have changed from the chrome and gold color to a brown chrome. Then we have the “Descendant” Vex which, to our knowledge, are the end of the vex evolutionary chain. They bear a circular head design with a ugly green-brown rust color. But we know nothing of what evolutionary stages lie in the middle of the three “main” vex evolutionary forms. The vex of D2 much much wider and larger heads than that of their former D1 Vex forms.
I have reason to believe that the Vex of D2 are in one of the next phases of the Vex’s evolutionary design. In theory, eventually the vex will have their heads split down the middle/form gaps on their head “plate” once again and eventually curve down into the circular form we see on the descendants. I would post pics on what I think it would look like but quite frankly I can’t seem to find a way to do so. All of this is merely speculation and theory but let me know what you think of it.

I applaud your idea but unfortunately we don’t be seeing any evolution of the vex as that would be too hard for bungie to do and considering how we just took the heart out of the main vex force in the system they will be in disarray for quite some time

The Vex ran their simulations and concluded: Destiny is a lost effort. They are those Black Triangle ships powering up to go play another game...

They turn into exo next

Vex penis, they full of creamy goodness with no way to rub one out.

great idea. but bungie are too incompetent to do anything anymore

Edited by Zelrons: 2/23/2018 8:11:19 AMDescendents are not actually Vex of the future. Rather Descendents are really ancient Vex that have survived for millennia to reach the future. For some reason having a head shaped like a toilet bowl was very successful.

Edited by Boss: 2/22/2018 8:19:21 PMMy question is why the color of the eye goes from Blue, to Red, and then to Yellow.

In destiny 1 all vex had different colors/markings based on the protocol they are programmed to follow. I wonder what happened at the onset of d2
