For most of your loyal fan base, pVE is what keeps us around, not lame ass pvp. For crying out loud, PvP is literally like 10% of your base, and how many of that number is people like me who don't like it but play for the weekly engram's? Stop acting like adding rumble and mayhem is a "BIG NEWS" ordeal. What a damn joke

Edited by Shenanigans: 2/23/2018 5:59:07 PMAgreed. Been watching game devs screw up their titles for 20+ years trying to shoehorn pvp into pve games and doing nothing but pissing everyone off. - You can't balance pvp around a pve game, you only upset everyone. You need to pick a path, and stick to it. If you have a pve game, focus on pve and let pvp remain a "fun mini game" and nothing more. - If you have a pvp game, then pve is the red headed step child and you neglect pve in favour of providing the optimal pvp experience. You can't have both. Stop trying. No company has ever been able to successfully juggle both concepts in a single game and do it well. No one. Stop thinking you are special snowflakes. There is no participation award for "almost making a good game".

Edited by Razgriz143: 2/22/2018 1:45:46 PMWe thought its was going to be a Bordelands/Diablo style of game and we ended up with COD with space magic.

If they can get multiplayer to be as entertaining as halo then it will be in a good spot. Which is to say they need a playlist with non serious game modes. Big Team Battle would be a good start. Oh and balance is best done around PvP first. Obviously it's a sensitive area, and once you do PvE is piss easy to balance. The lack of fun from PvE is due to their own lack of proper design around what they made.

But i play both , doesn't that count on both sides , the count is inaccurate if it doesn't show overlapping counts vs unique pvp vs unique pve. I feel all arguments are moot with bad data soo ....

Another angry PVP scrub post. YAWN

stop acting like you know what you're talking about.

As much as I love crucible I want changes so bump

One thing Bungie actually did right was integrate their PvP into the lore. It gives the PvP players a bit of an expansion to just the daily shooting and I, for one, really enjoy it. I don’t really care much for PvE anymore, VoG and Crota’s End were really fun and I would happily play them over and over but just because I’m not a fan of it doesn’t mean you’ll hear me calling for PvE to be removed. And even then, it was the loot I was after that made me play those things. Now that it’s all static rolls and Clan Engrams, you don’t even need to do anything anymore.
-
PvP is what has ALWAYS sustained Destiny between expansions.
-
PVE guys don’t keep anything alive. Ya get ya loot and leave. So if you have your loot... leave...

It is annoying really, PVP what is it ? Quite simply running round a tiny map firing crutch weapons all day. PVE is where the whole experience should be. stories and adventures. what Bungie normally does wrong every time. the only feedback Seems to Look at is, PVP players who cry about OP weapons and abilities ( in other words they get beat by something and cry in the community). PVE players want the content, to feel the power of a powerful guardian, "like the gods we are" as it was once said. continuously PVE takes a hit when things get continuously nerfed and out of balance to the point it takes the enjoyment out of it. there is absolutely no power all balance in this game right now never has been. one of the best things Bungie could ever do is separate the decisions and keep PVE and PVP is separate. once this is done buff all guardians to the god like stature in PVE. in PVP, make all abilities and weapons equal. make some proper balance

Edited by DeathPony07: 2/23/2018 11:16:59 AMEvery PvP streamer has moved on to Fortnite. Let PvP die for the good of the franchise. It's the reason why D2 is shit.

I play Destiny for the pvp. Don't get me wrong. I love the pve. But pve always has an end. AI opponents aren't good enough for the long haul IMO. but hey. maybe I'm just part of the 10%. I don't actually know the stats.

You think the same company that created Halo wouldn't make PvP something important? Cmon bruh.

Glorfindel
Glorfindel - old
pfff haha this is a stupid shooter game shooter I mean what just go play mass effect :) if there is no pvp this game is done (i mean it is already dead on pc but it might live on console) -
Destiny 2 PvP is starting to look like a e-sport game to me mostly. The Iron Banner event is the only event to have 6 v 6 in the update road map but there is no mention of adding 6 v 6 it to quickplay list, just Iron Banner. So I say if you look at the Kill Tracker Ghost and any emblems for PvP, I would say Destiny 2 is a e-sport game mostly. Because every e-sport game tracks your K'd,wins, losses, and rewards.

According to DTR, it's like 33%, assuming perfect overlap. No need for hyperbole.
-
Wrong. Pvp was a huge part of Destiny. Trials kept d1 alive in the last year. Personally everything I ground pve for was to get gear that helped for pvp. Stop pushing your personal agenda as the facts.
-
Nice opinion mate
-
PVP has mostly hovered between 20%-30% of destiny. So yes, a good chunk of the game.
-
LMFAO. Go play a real PvE game. PvE enemies in D2 (and D1) are extremely dumb. If you're almost dead, they don't follow you and kill you. They go and eat a snack.

What a lovely opinion you have.

This is a blatant attempt to appease the Datto's and Unknowns etc. etc who used to stream PvP to their audiences. However, if they paid any kind of actual attention (or maybe their research people are just not bothering to actually research) they would have known that even the streamers that relied on their audience watching them PvP are also very much aware that the actual playerbase who were in the game was 300k or less and that it was the masses watching their streams (who were NOT playing the game) for entertainment that they have lost. None of these streamers, if they have even a single I.Q point, is going to stream Destiny exclusively ever again. Bungie have simply proven to be too clueless and too ready to screw their players over for that. You don't put your eggs in one basket and certainly not a basket being juggled by two of the most arrogant and yet inept designers currently in the business.

I agree that they need to make less of a deal with it , its kinda ridiculous when im by cyde in the tower and I hear "WHAT ABOUT THE CRUCIBLE!" and im left wondering what class he needs to make his voice that loud lol, but it still is a HUGE part of the game
