Destiny is my favorite game of all time.
I love Destiny.
I have played Destiny since Beta back in August of 2014 and across all platforms from XBOX 360, to XBOX One, and PS4.
I was there for every launch of every expansion.
I put in more then 3,000 hours into this game.
I own more shirts, soundtracks, Pop and McFarlane figures then I care to admit and I support Bungie because they created a universe unlike any other.
Destiny was a game I could get lost in.
It was an experience that could be had with friends whether joining as foes or waging battle as enemies in the trials of Osiris or the many other game modes found within. The sense of accomplishment felt after beating Atheon for the first time, or beating Phogoth for the very first time (using nothing but white armor and weapons) created a feeling that not many games can create.
From the guns to the shooting mechanics to the incredible environments you can tell Destiny was something special.
Was it perfect?
No.
The game had flaws from weapon balancing, to raid glitches, a story that seemed rather broken up, or the many issues found within the crucible.
But despite all that I remember my first encounter in the Vault of Glass. It was the most incredible looking environment even to this day.
I’m sure I am not the only guardian brave enough to admit that feeding Athoen with a tasty serving of fine Warlock cheese was on the weekly agenda.
I frequented Skywatch in The Cosmodrome all for the promise of sweet mysterious legendary loot.
Melting Omnigal for the 60th time and finally getting that god roll Grasp of Malak also felt so damn special.
And Destiny was SPECIAL because of so many things that the game did right.
Vault of Glass
Vision of Confluence
Fate Bringer
The Devil You Know
Ice Breaker
Gjallarhorn
Crota’s End
And the list goes on… These are all incredible things brought to us by Bungie.
And to become a game it is today, it took Destiny nearly 2 years to get there. It took multiple expansions, many updates, and thousands of hours behind the scene.
For the Guardians out there, who are losing hope in Destiny 2, remember that like aged cheddar cheese or fine expensive wine, a game like Destiny requires time to bake and go through multiple iterations to “get right.”
I think the team is understanding what needs needs to be done to make Destiny 2 as good as Destiny. It will not happen overnight and I believe it will take several years before we truly get there.
And the proof is in the pudding.
When did we ever before get an official roadmap from the source?
Never.
Bungie has been more active on their community and more open about the game then ever before.
I really do like and appreciate this level of transparency by Bungie.
Some of the changes especially with Masterworks, Nightfalls, and Raids are promising.
Iron Banner 6v6! Thank You Bungie!
To me, Destiny: The Collection in its final form is a masterpiece, but the road had many bumps and it took some time to get there.
For me it was the Vault of Glass.
The Environments
The Weapons
Grabbing a copy of the soundtrack from the Bungie Store the night before a new release and listening to Destiny music till 5am.
I was a Field Marshall in Halo Reach.
I was a Level 400 Guardian in Destiny.
And I will always be a Bungie fan.
Thank you, Bungie, for creating worlds I want to be a part of since 2010. (That’s 7 years).
When I look at Destiny 2, I don’t think its perfect (and far from it).
It’s not better then Destiny or Halo Reach but I know it has potential because the people at Bungie really do care.
And I will be here to support them to help make this game the best it can be.
Destiny is not only my favorite Bungie game but my favorite game of all time.
What’s your favorite Bungie game?
I will never forget moments like getting my Gjallarhorn for the first time, or beating Atheon and Crota for the first time. Best gaming moments ever.
What’s your favorite Destiny moment?
Game On,
Cornholio

Edited by Unforgiven: 2/20/2018 4:26:03 AMI am not trying to get Destiny 1 back tho. So please, they need to evolve not go back to original. Bungie should just do what they want, and stop listening to trolls.
