So about oryx
you know after you kill him he floats away and starts to freeze towards saturn right
well in D2 i was hoping that there would be saturn as a patrol area so we might be able to see oryx frozen corspe lying there if you ever thought of this

13 RepliesYou’re going to honestly tell me you believe oryx is just swimming in a planetary core like it’s a hot tub? I mean your arguments that he WAS a god are invalid. He got his god powers from the worms, who ended up being the ones who killed him internally. We didn’t let him eat light, and because he wasn’t satisfying his worms, they killed him. So he doesn’t have any god powers at all, and he’s helljumping to a molten core. Lemme know how you BS your way outta this one.

Unless we have confirmation of the fate of the Touch of Malice then all signs point to Oryx having survived. Since the Touch of Malice is a part of Oryx, and assuming it wasn't destroyed in the Cabal attack, it's highly possible that Oryx is still alive.

2 RepliesPeople talking about Saturn being a gas giant but what if a city like Caer Lerion (there’s a good theory about it in these forums) which is a city that orbit earth from what I could gather (if people wanna correct me). Anyway what if an area like that existed on Saturn a long forgotten golden age city that was used for something like gathering a methane energy source (other gases are available) but it could be like Bespin. And oryx could have crashed landed into one of the upper layers of the city.

People can say we can't go to the actual planet Saturn in Destiny because of it being a gas giant but we live in a universe with the traveler now. And even if saturn stays a gas giant in destiny he could have landed in the oceans of Titan

Please don’t forget this is Destiny , a sci fi fantasy game , Imagine if the traveller or Golden age technology allowed them to create little pockets of terraformed platforms etc to extract resource from Saturn . So the map would be bits of land with very low gravity so we could jump higher etc and float in the gas areas . Speaking of which I just realised , why is the gravity the same in every planet we travel to.... it would be cool if the developers factored in gravity changes , it would make it realistic and then we would have to consider them in battle .

Why would Oryx body fall down to Saturn? I mean, Oryx’s body will burn up entering saturn’s atmosphere before it hit saturn’s core. Same goes for Titan because it has an atmosphere.

1 ReplyI think it would be interesting if oryxs worm (which we assume was originally hosted inside of him) literally consumed him from the inside out after we starved him of his offering in the final battle, then became vast and large and fled to titan nearby. Maybe even the large creature you see underwater when you're deep in the AI core room on titan. It's probably not true but I think it would be interesting if it was. Maybe thats how Worm Gods are formed 1 the baby larvae inhabit a host, the host attains vast power and eventually runs out of tribute to feed the worm OR someone kills the host 2 next phase would be to consume the host if they reached a certain strength, thus gaining all of its power and the result is what you see under titans ocean 3 perhaps in the final phase it would grow the wings and claws described on Yul when the sisters first spoke to him in their home planets core. Like I said probably not but just a general shot in the dark.

2 RepliesOryx could splashed down on Titan. Where you can see his remains floating out of that ocean from time to time. Similar to that sea monster we have in that ocean. Or better yet , the Hive is hiding his body somewhere deep in the rig, the reason why the Hive is present in Titan in first place. He could be encapsulated (ala Crota) and awaits resurrection.

However, considering there was also a heavy Cabal Presence, they may have just as likely nabbed the corpse. Although their first instinct would likely be to destroy it; if they would bother at all. Perhaps a Cabal Scientist (is that an oxymoron?) sought to gather and weaponize it for insane purposes. Although it's in all likelihood lost to time in the vaporous bowels of Saturn. Only time-- and perhaps a healthy portion of space magic-- will tell... his demise rests in the shaky hands of folklore now...
