D2 needs to be more rewarding. The rewards from this type of event (or any game play) should have an impact on game play to reward the effort. I have the best armour and weapons for my style of play, more tokens, ghosts and sparrows that have perks I already have don't interest me.
That's why random rolls worked so well in D1. There was always something different to try from a familiar piece.
Random rolls will be pointless for the armour system though, there are not enough different combinations for each item and I can achieve the desired effect with masterworks.
So far though you have avoided discussing this subject and that of changing the weapon slot snipers, shotguns and fusions sit in. If you can't discus this now are you willing to say when you will?
Personally I'm looking for more rewarding gameplay elsewhere, and that's really disappointing. I want a reason to keep playing.

I miss random rolls in the sense if there was a weapon archetype that I liked and it could obtain perks that I wanted I could grind until I got it. Currently, the static weapon rolls are more like “random” rolls that only change once (when it is created and put in the game) I.e. I’m at the mercy of the devs instead of RNG I have been looking for a 110 rpm hand cannon with good perks, is accurate, and has a nice feel. every time new hand cannons come out I have to hope that for this one and only “random” (since I don’t know what it is) roll is a 110 rpm that has those traits. Otherwise in stead grinding (playing the game) I’m grinding the timer until more guns come out. I know this was a weird analogy but hope it makes sense
