I hate how static they are in location. Just sitting there chlling out drinking kool-aid in the sun. Freaking boring... Surprise taken invasions were fun because if you pushed back taken forces they either disappeared after repelling the invaders OR a large, super boss-like taken would show up. It was incredibly hard to kill and it hit freakishly hard.. And that was while doing patrols or whatever. Bring stuff like that forward to Destiny 2. Variety is the spice of life and so far this food (Destiny 2) is tasting dull or stale.

    The Dank Below we had those Knights that would show up and we could snag their sword and go He-Man on everything. House of Wolves little public events that would spawn in and when you finished them a chest would spawn. Ah the days on Venus of racing back and forth on a sparrow to open that chest multiple times. Taken King we got the Taken mini events which unless I was pushed for time I would always stop and do. RoI the only thing I remember was a special patrol beacon that would start off a mini public event. But yea we need more stuff like that. There is the HVT that are locked behind a force field. But nothing really tied into CoO.
