This is a good forum change. It needed to happen a long time ago. Why would you want scrubs who never played the game coming on here to bash it?
Business wise it makes sense. If some players hate it then who cares. Its a step in the right direction and a change that needed to happen for long term success.

OffTopic is an entire community in and of itself. That’s the main problem.

Its a community that can negatively bash the game. The forum is almost like a virus that spreads. Think of it that way. People will just got to off topic to bash the game and dig it into the ground. You need to think like you own the business. If you worked for Bungie, would you want teenagers who’ve never played Destiny to come on the forums and destroy its reputation? It makes total sense from their point of view and doesn’t bother me one bit. I’m not defending the game that Bungie made. We all know it’s in need of fixing. There’s just certain steps that are required to fix it, be it short term AND long term.
