Here’s my problem with this philosophy. Live events are qualified as “content updates” by Bungie, but unless they remove Eververse from them all they are is temp events that bolster Eververse sales. They don’t actually provide any new content

  • See, i have played mmorpgs. And these events were never about content, but a way for a developer to get players to replay old content or go back to areas that they normally wouldnt so they can collect items for a event based reward, which were almost always cosmetic (except mounts, companions or little do-dads/ consumables that could give buffs). Though I will say that some events were every bit of new content with new areas that were around for a small period of time. Events were never really about content but a way to keep people playing and grinding.

  • But the events didn’t promote spending money on micro transactions as the only way to get these cosmetics
