Let me get you to Captain Marvel. She was placed on this role because specifically they wanted to start creating a more 'Inclusive' character (some will say SJW, you decide yourselves). Needless to say, this created the most widely hated run on this character to date. Not only did it turn her character from a cocky, alcoholic fighter pilot in to an angry, aggressive, manic of a character, it lead to her being seen as literally the villain of her own comic. Surprisingly enough, Marge told a better story about the Skrulls, than she could about her title character. The largest evidence of her critics lies in the fact that she took a mature themed character (due to the complexities and politics of interstellar empires/villains/etc) and dumbed it down for 12 year olds. This is a general example of who she is in the industry of Marvel (which she is in the process of being replaced during Marvel Legacy) but there's more details you need to know.
