Can you drive a stick? Do you prefer it? Can you drive at all?

1 ReplyI prefer manual but I’m pretty good with a stick
-
2 RepliesI passed Mario cart academy

2 RepliesDrove for years without knowing, but understanding the concept. It's easy enough to figure out. A few hours of practice and anyone with 2 neurons to rub together can get it.

1 ReplyI haven’t had the opportunity to learn a stick shift, but I would given the chance
-
2 RepliesMy first (and only) car is automatic. I want to learn how to drive manual, but nobody in my family owns a car with a stick shift...
-
2 RepliesI'm more used to manual. But I can do both I guess.
Just trying to get around using the word "stick" for fairly obvious reasons
1 ReplyMost of my manual transmission experience comes from driving tractor trailers. Those from Freightliner, International, and Peterbilt. I am well versed in the art of double clutching a 10 speed manual transmission.

5 RepliesOh man... I havent driven stick in forever Could probably do it though
-
1 ReplyI can drive a stick. I used to to prefer it, but honestly in rush hour stop and go traffic after a while you wish you had an automatic.
-
3 RepliesVery much prefer it. There have been slush boxes I've driven and liked, but manual has always proven more reliable.

I'm with the non-driving 36% but I love fiddleford mcgucket.

4 RepliesEdited by Treebeard: 1/26/2018 11:51:35 PMIs it really that uncommon to drive a manual car in the US? Here in England manual is pretty much the standard for most people. Having an auto first car would probably be considered quite strange. I personally prefer driving manuals/stick shift since it's more involved and you have more control over the car. I currently drive a Vauxhall Astra 1.4 👌

1 ReplyGot my first driving test on February 9th.

2 RepliesCan’t drive

1 ReplyWhat do I choose if I'm a die-hard car enthusiast but too young to drive..? I can drive stick once I get going (which I hear is usually the hardest part (still makes me hate myself when I stall 1,000 times over, though)) Eventually, I'll get the hang of it if I ever get the time to practice (...and a car that's stick...)

I can drive a manual and I love it. Nothing compares to it. These wannabe automatic transmissions with the manual option, no, take that lame shit away from me. That is for lazy drivers with no skill. Only time I ever want an automatic is when I am stuck in traffic.
-
2 RepliesCan’t drive for sh.. So that’s that.
-
2 RepliesRelated: Flappy paddles or stick?
-
1 ReplyI don't have a car, but I've only driven automatic. Really don't have an interest in driving stick.

1 ReplyAutomatics are for disabled people

2 Repliesi currently drive a automatic, but i would love to learn manual
-
3 RepliesI drive a WRX they don’t even make them in an automatic lol
-
1 ReplyI drive a manual on my Porsche 911 turbo.
-
4 RepliesNever owned an automatic transmission in my life, probably never will. Even the worst of traffic conditions wouldn’t have me wish otherwise. ‘69 Chevelle ss—>’96 Nissan zx—>’86 Porsche 944—>’18 Subaru WRX

1 ReplyHmm. I drive, I know what a clutch is, and the gears. But, I never drove while using stick shift. Wat do?
