I remember I played the D2Beta and called it: Bungie was gonna sell us a shitty and empty game compared to D1.
I got a lot of shit from the community for it too.
“Huuuurrrrr duuuuuurrrrrr!!!!! You can’t judge a game based on its beta. HUUUUUDEEEEEDUUUURRRRRP! The beta is only based on a previous rendition of the game.”
Yet here we are....

Dude, the beta doesn’t end until this April. Quit your bitching.
-
Yep, here you are...

Edited by danielwild794: 1/24/2018 11:47:13 PMToo bad we’re still playing the D2 beta.
-
Edited by Ghostfire239: 1/24/2018 7:22:27 PM"It's just a beta" they said. "The full game will be fun" they said.
-
“you can’t judge the game on its teaser wait for a trailer” “you can’t judge the game on its trailer wait for the beta” “you can’t judge the game on this beta, wait for the PC beta in a month” “you can judge the game on the PC beta wait for the game” “you can’t judge the game yet, the DLC isn’t out” “you can’t judge the game yet, the other DLC hasn’t come out yet” and now we wait for it to continue
-
Shitty empty game compared to D1. Someone obviously has forgotten that D1 launched the exact same.
-
Yup, same here. Feels goof to be vindicated
-
D2 is just an extended Beta for D3....their 10 year plan is to have a full game after 10 years of milking money from their players base
-
But...the beta hasn’t ended yet?
-
"Making content is just too hard, so we will use Eververse and make money that way". Bungie. My response? Die. Game deleted. Wallet closed. Spiteful, toxic comments, in my spare time.
The Beta is an old build. The finished product is leagues more polished than the Beta you're playing.
Then D2 released, and people discovered that the game was -exactly- like the Beta they had just played. There weren't any of the "improvements" that Bungie claimed would be there. The whole things was just more blatant lying by Bungie. Kinda like the D1 Beta.
Really, the Destiny Beta is only a fraction of the finished game. Not a third of the game like internet rumors would have you believe.
Then Destiny Y1 released, and the Beta was indeed close to a full third of the game. If I and my partners lied to our clients like this, we would have had to dissolve the firm long ago. How people keep defending Bungie truly puzzles me. If -anyone else- in their lives were to lie to them repeatedly like this, and with such weak and easily disproven lies, they would have kicked that person to the curb long ago. But Bungie keeps getting pass after pass after pass? It boggles the mind...

Edited by Commander Tempu: 1/23/2018 1:12:05 PMD1 is just as bad but the Fanboys and others will never admit to it when the first few weeks D1 came out it was shit before they fixed it. I predicted Destiny would fail at D3 and no one listened then to fix the game so it would last. Bungie lies so much that people finally figured it out. Bungie half assed D1 and i did not need to buy it to figure it out. The Old bungie team leaving is the only reason why D1 was successful. Because they did allot of work. Some of it the Halo/Destiny team could not be put into Destiny as Joseph Staten the head writer for bungie who delivered time and time again in Halo left. He was told that Bunglevision was going to cut apart his story. So he took what was his and left. No one has questioned the lopsidedness of D1 or the fact D2 was going to be worse due to the fact Bungie was too busy counting money and doing content. They have no Joe to make up the content and they have writers who apparently wrote stuff but somehow Bunglevision could not implement it properly. So your lesson should have been learned 3 years ago and none of you have a leg to stand on to support this shit then turn around and have wallets open for D2. Then turn around saying Bungie never listened to you with your wallet closed. At WHAT POINT did they listen in the first place? When they had Luke Smith do D2 or when you guys were getting raked over in D1? It does not take a genius to figure out what wen't on here. I am so glad i never bought this game and tried the demo. D1 or D2 as it was not the game promised and Bungie is just a bunch of liars. So while i am glad you all woke up it will not fix the problem bungie has of not giving a shit with it's current team. Any one thinking otherwise unless they prove it is just doing wishful thinking. They still want you to pay by putting up Content with Paywalls. Bullshit Tatics that will sink the game and D3 will never happen. If you payed for D2 and a DLC you should get it regardless if it is in another iteration of that game. Even if they fix D2 they will try to milk you guys for everything. I have high hopes that Bungie would have turned it around by now. But you are looking at a year to nine months before they fix D2 and Fix it so they make profit. I dunno why they cannot fix that shit for free and open it up. I never seen WOW like this. They fix stuff and do it right the first time. They actually listen at Blizzard. Bungie needs to quit listening to those Idiots over at Activision. Money does not equal Success. I can buy a WOW X-pac and get a full game full of quality never having to spend money for extra unless i want to.

The campaign mission was on fire though. It turns out that first mission is the only one where you actually fight along side the Vanguard. That was the biggest let down for me. They sold us fake hopes on the story.
-
Indeed. Yet here we are with loads of differences from the beta. All better than what we thought.
-
The moddafakking beta continues ©NWA
-
I got a bad feeling soon as they did their whole, "the state of the game in the beta was old anyways." Instead of giving us a current look at the game.
-
I know right? Makes me love watching this game burn even more.
-
Edited by Insane956: 1/24/2018 2:15:01 AMBeta? We still on kickstarter status, alpha begins in a few months, with beta starting holiday season 2018. Maybe.
-
That bothered me a little, they said we're playing on an older build of the game. Why would they release a public beta of an older build rather than the newer one? Also, I've always suspected something was off about Destiny 2 since it's initial reveal.
-
We’re still playing the Beta
-
you couldn't judge it based on the beta. You could only judge the crucible and you didnt know how or if strikes would tie into the story. The biggest gripes i have about the game are mainly due to no end game, and lack of diversity in weapons and armor. I was hoping the subclass tree would have been ok if they had some way to make up for removing the customisation. The game was ok for the first 3 weeks but then you realised there was no grind, you couldn't have made this opinion from the beta. This game was like buying a used car, you were promised everything was perfect, but then you got it home and realised it leaked oil, had sawdust in the gearbox and the doors were all full of rust that had been bogged up and painted over, yes, you bought a lemon.
-
I felt the same way, and unfortunately, we've been shown to have been right. I wish it wasn't like this.
-
The beta was better than the game right now.. Sad fact
-
Yep i played it ... And didn't buy it ... I thought it was pretty obvious...
-
Yet here you still are..... What keeps you here?
-
Same here, took ten minutes playing with two primary weapons, limited ammo drops, and slow supers to work out Bungie had nerfed the whole game. And i didnt fall for that "old build" bullshit.
