Destiny 2 is killing content creators
It is really sad to see. I myself am not a content creator (yet) but it is really sad to see your favorite youtuber and twitch streamers not producing content because Bungie has refused to fix issues in this game and constantly talk about "the future". Well Bungie if you don't act fast there wont be a future. I do not know the exact numbers but I cannot imagine a ton of people play this game. Back in D1 it was a top 5 twitch streamed game every. single. day. On the weekends it was top 3 because of trials. The other day I was on twitch and I couldn't find it at first. I actually laughed because it had fallen so far back because no one wants to stream the game because there is nothing to do.
As a community I feel like we are just tired of the constant screw ups. I actually have never played a franchise of games that has had so many problems. I know for a fact this Bungie team has none of the original Bungie squad on it because Halo didn't have problems out the ass like this does. Honestly its a tainted image now. None of the big content creators make D2 content anymore, and some even reverted back to D1... Thats embarrassing.
You can talk about "oh the future blah blah blah" but if you keep pushing out updates that are shit and not fixing the real issues, there will not be a future. I miss watching my favs like Datto, TripleWreck, Giggle, Goth, Lumi, and so on.
Edit 1: I will try to reply to all you kiddos who rage or tell them to “get a real job”. I’m not by my computer 24/7 like some of you keyboard warriors so bare with me. Also what classifies a real job? I think they pay taxes and bills and all that good stuff. Don’t be upset that they make money differently than you. Cheers!

Lmao, I’m no fan of Bungie but Content Creators only have their self to blame. It’s not Bungies fault they are a one trick pony...at all.

4 RepliesHow is it bungie's fault they banked on one game to make content from? That's on them for not expanding. Also, that explains why there is so much backlash towards destiny 2 from twitch/youtubers. It's not cause the game is 'bad', it's cause others cant use it to make money off of like d1. Which ironically is their fault. They were the main ones that complained about a lot of things in d1 that bungie listened to, and put in d2. This is the game they asked for, yet since their audience/chat dont like watching it, now it's all bungie's fault.

6 RepliesContent creators are more or less responsible for the state that Destiny is in right now. A couple of instances include: The 4v4 format was mooted as a competitive game mode by some very well known content creators, when private matches were first implimented in Destiny 1. Triplewreck orchestrated a campaign to remove the skills gap from hand cannons. Content creators need to die, because they moved from creating content to trying to influence the direction of the game.

I've pretty much given up on Destiny 2 and have chosen to preorder Destiny 3 from GameStop as part of their expected release program for Members. Hopefully it's better next time around. If not, Destiny 4 here I come!

Has anyone ever heard them try to explain why they slowed, weakened, and nerfed D2 into the ground? Have the content creators called for these answers? If not, they should since they seemingly had the loudest voice in D1. There needs to be accountability for the bad decisions from the 2 primary loadout, to no more playlists to select, slow abilities, and slowed mobility. Somebody needs to "take credit for it" at Bungie HQ. Christopher Barret has no problem stepping to the mic for the live team and promising to fix the mistakes and bad direction. I believe many would like to know who drug the franchise into this limp wristed excuse for an RPG FPS. I'm guessing the sandbox did. Which is why I can't stand to hear Wisnewski or Hamrick talking about the "great" things they are working on. If it was them, that nerfed everything and switched to static rolls and 2 primaries, all I want to hear from them is an apology and a promise to do whatever the live team tells them to do as they try and repair the damage their poor decisions caused. Who made all of the throttling bad calls? Who nerfed mobility... freaking mobility! Who thought slowing all ability times was a good direction to take your RPG into? I for one would listen to their rationale and commend them for having the balls to acknowledge what they have done. I would ask them to resign or move to a different department that could no longer jeopardize the game but they would get the props for owning it. Instead, they hide in anonymity with the same distorted views of RPGs they had before the debacle. They will do it again because there is no accountability thus no hope for a lasting remedy. The throttling guy... yeh he is going to strike again for sure. He hasn't been called out, he's there waiting to pull the same bs and hope nobody catches it again. When we do, no worries, nobody's accountable.

It is apparent to anyone who does the SLIGHTEST amount of research that Bungie treats it's players with damn near disdain. It's false hype, letdown, fake apology, fake "fix" , repeat. it's an FPS casino now with Eververse at the hub of all the caps , loot nerfs and progress throttling. they publically stated that they would "trickle a slower drip feed" of content because they were tired of making content for this game and would make money with Eververse instead. This is NEVER going to change and it's woefully obvious.

Those content creators have only themselves to blame for hitching their entire money making endeavor wagon to one video game. It is time to abandon ship, diversify or go the same route the game is going. Adapt or die.

2 Replieslol you talk about the content creators... most of them are the worst: I bought this game on pc release day for pc and before that I just watched some streams and youtubers. ALL of them hyped the game and made simple stuff look complicated. They were so eager to create their content and tell people how awesome everything is, the progression system, the loot, wow just everything... and they weren´t even right about their tipps and tricks.. all the stupid stuff they said about how to get to max was wrong. Even one week after release I did not find one single video of a so called content creator that did show the best way on how to progress the easiest and fastest and I am not even sure that mine was a 100% but it was at least close, they where so far off that it hurts watching them talking out of their asses. And it was already out for weeks on ps4....
