Of course it’s the Patriots. Brady has literally been to the AFC championship 12 of the 16 seasons he’s played. That’s just an utterly ridiculous stat. Here’s how the game is going to go on Sunday, the patriots are going to stack the -blam!- out of the box, and force the throw. I’m sorry, but betting on Bortles throwing against a team that seldom makes mistakes (whose defense has only allowed ~15 ppg since the first four games) is simply a recipe for disaster. That Jacksonville defense everyone’s talking about also gave up over 100 yards last week to a tight end that is not even comparable to Gronk. They’re going to stomp down the field with a Gronk and Amendola doing crossing routes like clock work. And if the O-line can give Brady that extra couple seconds, Cooks is hitting pay dirt. 30-14 final score. Vikings are going to win by a field goal, and then get outclassed in the Super Bowl by the obviously superior team. And everyone will be salty because the Patriots are the best goddamn organization in sports. New England vs Everybody

  • The AFC is absolute trash this year. The Patriots may be the best team in the NFL, overall, but it's really tough to know that when the AFC was as bad as they were.

  • The Vikings were certainly beat by a superior team.

  • I don’t mind this because the Rodgers fans all say “but Rodgers carries his team so he’s a better QB than Brady ever will” so if we win, Brady won with a defense that sucks according to you, proving Brady does put the team on his back (not that he already doesn’t)

  • The defense does suck, but it doesn’t matter all that much going up against a second string QB. The Patriots have had an easy path to the super bowl this year. Brady didn’t have to show up for half the games this season, they would have made it this far. I’ll give Brady that he was able to come back at all against the Jags defense, that wasn’t easy. However, Brady didn’t beat the Jags as much as the Jags beat themselves with those penalties last night.

  •
Pats defense blows
From week 5 till the end of the regular season, they only allowed 14.7 ppg. That’s insanely good. They showed disorder at the beginning of the season, but it’s quite obvious they’ve become quite the coordinated unit, not to mention that Belichick’s focus on special teams is one of the most notable in the league. I wouldn’t say their defense is as good as Jacksonville’s, however, their defense is far from bad.
It’s the worst in the league
Again, from week 5 on, the Patriots defense has been one of the best defenses in the league. Even including the first four weeks, it isn’t the worse in the league, and has a better points allowed per game than most teams. Dude, are you stuck in November or something? Look at the stats after week 4.

  • Pitt is the only team with a solid defense they've played. They've had one of the easiest schedules this year. With the Jags defense, even Blake Bortles will have enough field time to make it hurt for the pats. No one cares about your ppg when you regularly go up against teams like Oakland, Denver, and the Jets. When it's been the Saints, or Pitt, even Carolina is scoring 20+. Patriots might have a good record this year, but they look weak and everyone knows it. This isn't the same patriots team that has won past Super Bowls. They've been lucky all year and everyone is ready to see that luck run out.

jags defense is overrated giving up that many points against the steelers. the steelers are a horribly coached team. the jags have played easy teams thats why it seems they have a good defense. they have had an easy schedule. they could not stop JIMMY g. they will not stop Tom Brady.

  • Don’t laugh too hard. The patriots are overrated, and they won last night on lucky penalties. Wins like last night are exactly why they are over rated. It was handed to them.

  • They’re both future Hall of Famers ranked in the top 10 or better in most stats. Brady is ranked higher, but not that much higher.

  • Yeah Blake Bortles might blow it and the Jags might lose, there's no surprise there. It's Blake Bortles. There's no denying the Patriots have had possibly the easiest route to and through the playoffs. They're a mediocre team in a shitty conference.

  • Yeah barely beating the Jags on 4 critical unforced penalties is nothing to brag about buddy. But then again Patriots fans would be likely to brag about giveaways.

  • Oh please we can get into pitter patter about calls, the jags had more than enough opportunities to put that game away. Unfortunately, that defense that apparently “sucks” in your mind, bottled them up.

  • The defense does suck. They had nothing to do with the fact that Blake Bortles is a second rate QB. Any defense in the league can shut him down. The Jags beat themselves. Anyone thinking the Pats won that game on anything other than luck is delusional. That kind of win is exactly why the Pats are overrated this season. If you think that was a good win, then you should be very concerned heading into the Super Bowl because a performance like that isn't going to cut it.
