Am I the only one that finds absolutely no issue with the way the weapons in the faction rally are being rolled out? There is plenty of new content with this week's faction rally: - New ornaments for each faction armor set that require several hours of grinding culminating in a Nightfall required for the full ornament set. - New ships, sparrows, ghosts, and shaders exclusive to the faction event (not through Eververse). - New emblem to show off not only your faction, but your total pledges per faction. - Weapons from Season 1 that could not be obtained (FWC Fusion Rifle and DO Grenade Launcher). If there are 5 new weapons for Season 2, I don't want them all in the first Faction Rally, I want them to be spread out over the season so I have more incentive to play each event. Remember Season 1, not all weapons were awarded the first week, that was done by design. Don't get me wrong, there is plenty of things the team at Bungie (and by extension Activision) have done wrong and the game is no where near as good as it should be, I just find it interesting that the community is losing their mind over an event that actually has a lot of great content; I think it's misdirected anger at other issues in the game.

  • No, I don’t mind it either. I mean, it’s not like I’m frantically awaiting new weapons and anything less will throw me into an outrage. My loadouts are already legit as -blam!- and I play this game because I think it’s fun. Imagine that.

  • I didn't pay $60 to play cosmetics collecting the game

  • Valid point. I think there definitely is a current problem with cosmetics taking priority over abilities; the fact that armor you can find patrolling the EDZ is functionally the same as raid and trials armor is a problem. This is a problem with the game, not the roll out of weapons in this specific faction rally. The problem I see with the current outrage is that it seems to be misguided. Just a few weeks ago during the Dawning event, the community responded to the issue of Eververse containing too many limited time cosmetics which forced people to pay for engrams if they wanted the full set; I was among the group that thought that was a HUGE mistake. Bungie responded by taking the Faction Rally cosmetic rewards and making them rewards for in-game activities, this is exactly what the community wanted. The same people who were complaining about the Eververse paywall a few weeks ago are now complaining about getting what they wanted. Again, Destiny is not perfect and I too get frustrated at some of the decisions made about the game, but in my opinion, this Faction Rally was rolled out well.
