How to kill a franchise
1. Disregard all player feed back for 3 years. ✔
2. Sell a game using shady marketing. ✔
3. Lie about XP throttling. ✔
4. Center the endgame around loot boxes/MTX. In a $60 game. ✔
5. Promise to improve on communication, then fail miserably to do so. ✔
6. Release a very lackluster DLC, and charge $20 for it. ✔
7. Release an event centered around Loot boxes, during a time of giving.✔
8. Reskin everything. ✔
9. Implement an event that's centered around player participation. Then limit said participation.✔
10. Create a game centered around Loot, then limit the amount of loot obtained/earned. ✔
Am I missing anything?
Thanks for the refund though 😉
Comment of the year! Bump!
-
This deserves a thousand bumbs. To bad Bumbs aren't like the game then I can do the same thing over and over. Bumps are actually more fun.
-
The sad reality is that the “end game” content for Destiny 2 is actually the “Masterworks” system. Think about that for a minute.
-
Most of the stuff up there they didn’t do, they have improved feedback, they have been listening and using player feedback to better the game, and this dlc isn’t even bad
-
1. Tell the community they listened to the shady XP throttling and Eververse feedback. 2. Slip a token throttle and a matching Eververse "de-throttling" ghost to the game. 3. "they have improved feedback, they have been listening and using player feedback to better the game" 👌
-
They explained why they did the token one it was to stop an exploit they said they were going to do it before they did
-
Oh, they explained it? That changes everything
/s
-
Well I mean you can’t say they did it behind your back when they told you they were gonna do it before they did so.....
-
Good thing that's not what I said, then.
-
Well they explained why they did it and seeing as it was to patch an exploit it’s quite understandable and makes it okay
-
Edited by Gatomori: 1/19/2018 1:27:22 AMConsidering how Bungie let the infinite Nova Bombs and Raid "cheese" exploits run loose, I'm pretty sure there were better approaches to this than to implement a mechanic players gave extremely negative feedback to. Not to mention that a shady Eververse Ghost has nothing to do with that explanation. Nevertheless, none of this contradicts my initial reply.

You know you strike me as the kind of person who gets mad when rockstar patches money glitches
-
And you strike me as the kind of person who resorts to personal and completely baseless insults when out of arguments.
-
Edited by assassinationI: 1/19/2018 1:33:09 AMThat wasn’t an insult at all just an analogy, considering you’re mad about bungie fixing an exploit
-
Are you really going to play dumb by misusing the definition of an "analogy"? You're very clearly avoding the point and aggressively assuming I'm mad. If you're going to try to insult me, acting coy like that is definitely counter-productive.
-
Oh yeah, when did you find out about the current token throttling? After they implemented it, and was caught red handed, yet again.
-
They said they were going to do it to fix the exploit, the fact that you’re trying to manipulate the info is ridiculous
-
correct But they never said anything about the lack of weapons, nor the timer put in place to limit loot, in a loot/shoot game
-
Keep slurping 🤪
-
Let me guess you’re one of the people who hate this game and “quit playing”?
-
Check my recent game activities. Dont guess anymore. Meanwhile stay triggered angry snowflake ❄️
-
Not a snowflake, just asking because you’d be surprised how many people say they quit yet they played almost every day that week
-
Did you really just type those words out on the screen? Or was this a joke? It was a joke huh? That was a good one.
-
It’s not a joke
-
So a robot typed those words?
