With the release of Curse of Osiris, each Faction has received 5 new weapons. These weapons become available over the course of the season, and cannot be earned through Faction Engrams immediately.
In the first Faction Rally of Season 2 (this week), there is a new Auto Rifle available as the Winner’s Offering. No new Faction Weapons are available through Faction Engrams.
In the second Faction Rally of the season, the Winner’s Offering is updated to a new weapon. Additionally, the previous Winner’s offering (Auto Rifles) and an additional weapon are added to Faction Engram rewards.
The final Faction Rally of the season will follow this functionality: The Winners Offering will be updated to a final weapon that has yet to be featured. The previous Winner’s Offering will be added to the Faction Engram rewards, alongside an additional weapon. This brings the total to four weapons within the Faction Engram, and a final Winner’s Offering for factions to compete for over the course of the event.

6 RepliesSo let me get this straight. Instead of giving us new content, Bungie decides to drip-feed us mini-events over the course of the season that have nothing but new weapons in them. But now, those weapons are being drip-fed and sprinkled in slowly over the course of several mini-events? We're being drip-fed the drip-feed.
-
3 RepliesOk sooo. This is what I will do to get the only good reward from this faction rally: 1) I'll log on 2) Pledge to each faction with a different character 3)Log-off 4) Log in at the end of the rally to claim reward. Thanks for the exciting event Bungie!
-
Oh Bungie thanks! All I gotta do is log in and chose one of the factions then log off till the winner is announced!! Boy Bungie sure knows how to develop a game!
-
1 ReplyDmg, bro, this is an event to encourage people to”compete” for their faction by earning as many token as possible, but then there is some strange cap on the rate of earning these. And about withholding the weapons: sure you want to prolong the content out, but imagine if you are invited to a banquet only for the guest to be told that night they are only being served appetizers, for the main course come again a month from now to another banquet. Right now the priority is to attract people to log in and play, because there might be less people to get excited about the next event. But then again, maybe you don’t care because faction rally participation isn’t linked to eververse...

Faction rally is so dumb!
-
In all the hubbub of the last several weeks an important suggestion has fallen by the wayside - the token economy has gone too far. It is a decent idea (not great) that’s been overdone and needs dialing back. If it is running at 100% now, then 50% is a much better spot. Tokens are too big a part of the endgame and that is part of the problem. Tokens as rewards are just not satisfying. Nobody screams with delight at getting tokens like they did in D1 when certain weapons were rewarded. Actual loot drops should be the rewards - the anticipation, tingling of thought at receiving an exciting weapon or piece of armor needs to be returned to the game. Also, make stronger, better perks.
-
Ahahahaha legit hilarious RIP D2 😂
-
5 Replies"Yes, we're throttling your faction tokens....but, check out this cool ghost tess is selling!! It gives you more faction tokens, so just buy the ghost and no need to complain about us throttling tokens". - Bungie(if they were honest) It's so comical at this point, Its like a sitcom. "What shenanigans is bungie gonna get into this week" 😂
-
This decision isn't logical, Bungie. Rolling out the rewards slowly, absolutely does not feel rewarding. It will feel like we are grinding for nothing until the last Rally. And I'll tell you what, with the current long as -blam!- ornaments, these early rallies will just absolutely feel like a chore. Bad move on this one.
-
25 RepliesI know it's not your fault DMG04, but this is easily the stupidest thing I've ever heard.
-
This better be a REALLY early April fool's joke... I can't find any reason to do anything for faction rally because there is only 1 new weapon in each of the vendors, so why even bother farming? I just picked a faction and logged off because the only thing that's worthwhile is something I don't have (which are things I don't care for from the beginning) and the auto rifles which don't require any participation to begin with...
-
I left the forums because I couldn't take the toxicity of everyone here. But I feel a response to this post is warranted. NO THANKS! If we don't have any real opportunity to earn new weapons till the final Faction Rally of this season, I'll just wait till then. If I'm being brutally honest, I only use one Faction weapon on the regular anyway, the DO auto rifle. If Iron Banner gear is going to drop the same way this season, I won't be doing that either. LOL! What a complete cluster-blam!-. Look at my profile. I've been a fan of Bungie since Marathon on Mac. I've had a profile here since H3. I don't feel I can hang around and watch you guys fail. I'm starting to feel like my grandpa, always remembering and longing for "the-good-ol-days"....

FFS As the whiny child kylo said "let the past die " Well please kill D2 like now do refunds or whatever you see is best and easiest way to go about it. Work on d3 oh and please take your time make sure there's more than 6 weapons and armor pieces though. If you want to call D2 a failure go ahead. But for the love of god either fix and focus almost all of your time to fix it and maybe save the franchise or kill it and use the assets and money you clearly can't get enough of these days and make d3 the best of d1 and the little of what was good of d2 and shock us all. Don't worry ill wait and either laugh and shed a tear for the franchise that had potential or ill be enjoying the many titles that will surpass you in many aspects . Please there's no other options here. Don't believe me they're trying to prevent the titanic from sinking here with d2 all the while making d3 wonder how dumbed down that game will be . Anyways I know it's asking too much from a company who sees dollar signs before oh I don't know actual loyal and faithful customers. Hope is what's keeping us alive kill that and you'll watch slowly of course how the franchise dies.

If you guys spend a whole week coding in a “dismantle all” for the shaders im sure everyone will see a bit of light at the end of the tunnel, game will still need work but atleast you save yourselves another 2 weeks
true story
We’re listening... We’re hard at work... More info coming soon... That’s all you guys ever say. We, the players, are leaving. We’re at the point it doesn’t matter what info you tell us. Most wont be back. Destiny 1 - 2302 hours played - still go back occasionally Destiny 2 - 125 hours played - done, didn’t even buy DLC
-
Bunige, Why you lie?
-
1 ReplySorry but this franchise is doomed with a person whos logic is that “ you will throw money at the screen“ as the lead designer. Its no wonder this game is so MTX heavy. Good luck with that bungie
-
Edited by vmondude: 1/19/2018 9:26:04 PMThis game so far is Bungie signing their own resignations from the game industry. They obviously can’t be bothered to make proper content, weapons or armour anymore. “It’s just too hard to make content, waaaa 😫😢”
You’re in the wrong fcuking business morons!
Put the team who developed Destiny 1 back in charge, or just fcuk off with this trash!!! Sorry to be so crude but Bungie, seriously, clean house, or You. Are. Screwed! ...The true End Game.

Any plans for bringing back chroma? #bringbackchroma

6 RepliesAre you guys smoking so much weed that you actually think this is a good idea? The entire community has been screaming over drip-feeding us content and now you decide to do it with loot? What happened to vastly improving the size of the loot pool? That was less than a week ago and you guys are already playing Indian giver. Stop -blam!-ing us around and just -blam!-ing say you screwed up and -blam!-ing fix it! 5 weapons over the course of a -blam!-ing year is a joke. So much for we're listening! We -blam!-ing hate tokens. We want more loot. We want to feel powerful. We want more content. We have never said give us less.

I don't recall giving feedback for this nor do i recall any of my clanmates indicating this was a problem. If guardians wanna run the same lost sector over and over and over and over, let them. Isn't that farming? Such as the exclusion zone, Omnigul, etc. Were you really listening? Let's face it, you didn't want to roll out all of the weapons and wanted to create a drip effect because whoever designed the game didn't design it with clearly enough weapons in it. Which was a huge oversight on someone high on the totem pole. When you eliminate random rolls you need to replace the ungodly amount of potential rolls one weapon could have had, thus you have to make up for that somehow and you didn't. Also, if i hear one more thing about ships, shaders and ornaments as the draw to this game...well I've already left the game for the Division but it'll be a harder sell to bring me back. The draw to this game is/was you offered something unique to the gaming experience rich with lore and activities...plus your gunplay is phenominal. Now you're a 60.00 fashion show, a AAA Versace catwalk. I don't want to play fashion show. #BebungienotVersace.

Wow Bungie! Congrats on pissing off the Destiny community! Suggestion...have a "team meeting" there at Bungie and read through the community comments (bungie.net, Twitter, Reddit, Facebook, the bathroom walls, etc.) and "hopefully" you'll understand that you're loosing your fan base (those who buy your game). It's really sad. I hate writing this cause I love this game (Destiny 1 as a finished product). D2 has been a disappointment and it seems you're not listening at all. Fix this game please!!
-
2 RepliesWhat a joke, a game already lacking content, doesn't produce enough content for new seasons, so they trickle the content in over the course of a year. How PATHETIC, glad I quit this game.
-
4 RepliesI have just under 2000 hrs in d1 and then they pull this absolute travesty. They release an unfinished atrocity of a game which is missing all of the features that kept us around in yr3 d1 and expect us to keep paying for embarrassingly small dlcs? It's galling to think that they've sunk to this level D1 literally saved my life. Getting on for the grind and to see mates each day got me through severe depression and alcoholism. And then to have bungo pull this...I just feel betrayed. To top it off, they think that these bullsht, vague-as-fck blog and TWAB posts are enough to keep their SERIOUSLY dwindling player base content? It's atrocious. Then we have games coming out like Monster Hunter World, and the newest addition to Warframe (WHICH IS AN ENTIRELY FREE TO PLAY GAME WITH FREE CONTENT CONSTANTLY BEING RELEASED). RIP D2 and Bungie

You must be getting paid really well to be feeding us horse shit lol.
-
4 RepliesSo wait, now other than pledging to a faction there’s no reason to do anything till the last faction rally of the season? Who thought that was a good idea?
