With the release of Curse of Osiris, each Faction has received 5 new weapons. These weapons become available over the course of the season, and cannot be earned through Faction Engrams immediately.
In the first Faction Rally of Season 2 (this week), there is a new Auto Rifle available as the Winner’s Offering. No new Faction Weapons are available through Faction Engrams.
In the second Faction Rally of the season, the Winner’s Offering is updated to a new weapon. Additionally, the previous Winner’s offering (Auto Rifles) and an additional weapon are added to Faction Engram rewards.
The final Faction Rally of the season will follow this functionality: The Winners Offering will be updated to a final weapon that has yet to be featured. The previous Winner’s Offering will be added to the Faction Engram rewards, alongside an additional weapon. This brings the total to four weapons within the Faction Engram, and a final Winner’s Offering for factions to compete for over the course of the event.

Thanks DMG for stopping by and letting them know. I don't play the game no more.. But, if I did. I'd at least be happy we have a community leader finally. *high five* Wish you were here 3 years ago.

1 ReplySome clarification.... A mistake, error, glitch, bug ...etc Is an unforseen thing that arises from something no one could avoid, or simply didn't think about before hand. That's not what's happening in Destiny 2. Everything in Destiny 2 is happening by design. It is happening with informed intent. It is being done intentionally for reasons I'm sure I don't know. These things are not happening to the game, and by extension the community; these things are being done to the game, and the community. This narrative where the devs and all involved with the game are supposed to be just as shocked as we are every time something comes up is complete BS, and that only a handful of people see that is baffling to me. Please, I beg you, stop letting Bungie (or any big game house) think we're so stupid, and blinded by fandom that they can do whatever they want to us.
-
2 RepliesThanks for the explanation. You know, you guys may be able to win a point back if you ensured that the Winners Offering weapon also came with a Masterworks perk...
-
Dear BungieVision, This explanation sounds like complete B.S. and if it walks, talks, & squawks like a duck... Oddly this idea/breakdown was not in your previous address so let me take a guess at what happened, here goes. 1. You opened rallies to all but wanted to restrict which players could earn what rewards. 2. Instead of locking out just the players who had not purchased curse of Osiris it locked out everyone. 3. The errors in the hastily written code went untested and unnoticed because they were done as knee jerk reaction to fix your bad press. 4. You started receiving feedback on the rally event and rather than admitting yet another mistake you to put this statement out to buy yourselves time. Sound about right? Way to go full EA
-
6 RepliesWait, I’m confused... Will the auto rifles featured as the special winners’ weapons be added to faction engrams as they are in the next rally? If so, why care if you win? You could potentially get all the weapons but one without spending any glimmer at all, and without ever winning a faction rally. Or am I reading something incorrectly?
-
How stupid so there is no reason to play at all. nice bungie another terribly planned idea for you guys.
-
weaooms are not excactly overwhelming anyway, throw something in broken like the prometheus, give us something to grind for.nerf it rinse and repeat.,we just want to have fun..
-
Blah blah blah blah. That's all we hear. Bunch of bull
-
Obviously you have been hired so DeeJ dosen't have to get any more backlash. lmao
-
The shitshow continues
-
2 RepliesThis is just pure shit. Take note everyone. This is how Bungie is "improving" Destiny 2. We can continue to expect more of this bullshit over the next year and beyond.
-
2 RepliesI love how this was explained AFTER PEOPLE COMPLAINED. Bungie, why can't you ever just be transparent? If this was the plan all along, we should have known about it BEFORE the Faction Rally. You guys just love to hide things from people who pay for your game and you love to piss them off.
-
Guys... what is going on over there? 10 min lockout chest timer, faction rally with only 2 new weapons... You know you're hemorrhaging players right? It just shows how out of touch management is if they think they're even close to addressing the reasons for the population exodus. I mean, just... wow...
-
So what you’re saying is there’s no reason to do faction rally this week? Sure you can grab the ”winner” faction weapons but that will be included in the next faction rally engram. I am also assuming that this will happen with IB? You’re saying to a community that is dying to grind for something to pretty much F off. GG.
-
I really don't ever post my opinion about issues with this game but this has to be one of the most ludicrous things I've seen. Why would after all the backlash and negative feedback from players would you again do something like this? I've been trying to stay positive about the efforts to make this game better but you guys just keep shooting yourselves in the foot. It's honestly pretty sad to see it go down like this.
-
1 ReplyDid you guys think that having an event with no new weapons would provide players with incentive to play? Simple question.
-
and cannot be earned through Faction Engrams immediately.
Forgive my ignorance here. What's the point of the event then? It's the same as any other vendor in the game. Oh, except you might get an auto rifle, if you happen to align to the right faction. Have I got that right? So people will be better playing the last faction rally of the 'season'? When the weapons are in the loot pool?
-
1 Reply<3 Bungie
-
Everytime Bungie makes a concession they have to make a change that makes it worse.
-
Explaining how it works isn't a response to concerns over a lack of loot.
-
3 RepliesBasically there is no incentive to actually play this week. I can login and pledge one character to each faction and be guaranteed to get the winning weapon for 1k. Why would I waste my time playing this week for nothing new?
-
Why? This makes the First Faction Rally of Each Season COMPLETELY POINTLESS. You are giving out rewards AFTER THE FIRST WEEK? WHY? WHO THOUGHT THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA? Whoever's IDEA this was wasn't on the D1 crew, were they?
-
1 ReplyCan someone translate this into English for me? Thanks. From what I could interpret, almost sounded like working as intended. Crazy lmao.
-
Dmg04 please don’t take this personal but, right now you are our direct link to the dev team. Are they purposely trying to piss off the audience? With the back lash you just had over the Dawning are you seriously going to have an event and NOT offer any new reward for the time put in?!? I don’t get it. If the content wasn’t ready that’s fine. Just be transparent about it. Most people are rational and would rather wait for a complete product instead of this. Why should I grind? I have three characters. I’ll just pledge to each faction wait a week and get the reward without having to put in any work. Fix your shit guys. Your embarrassing yourself. I thought you’d have professionals working at Bungie.
-
So no new armor design and trickle down for weapons, I hope you get paid a lot to tell us what your shit company tells you
-
So in other words, you just further incentivized NOT playing this game for the players that we’re giving you guys one last chance... Trials is getting progressively worse each weekend because more and more players are dropping off like flies and the only ones sticking around are account recoveries and streamers that are trying to keep their channels alive. Even quick play is starting to get overpopulated with “sweaty” try hards that take pleasure in pub stomping (for no rewards mind you). PVP needs a healthy player base of mixed skill level, but the more you guys turn away the community, namely the casuals that you catered to with D2 for some mysterious reason, the worse PVP gets as well. This is one hell of a downward spiral if I’ve ever seen one and to be honest, I’ve never seen this with any other dev team.
