Season 2 Faction Rally Rewards
With the release of Curse of Osiris, each Faction has received 5 new weapons. These weapons become available over the course of the season, and cannot be earned through Faction Engrams immediately.
In the first Faction Rally of Season 2 (this week), there is a new Auto Rifle available as the Winner’s Offering. No new Faction Weapons are available through Faction Engrams.
In the second Faction Rally of the season, the Winner’s Offering is updated to a new weapon. Additionally, the previous Winner’s offering (Auto Rifles) and an additional weapon are added to Faction Engram rewards.
The final Faction Rally of the season will follow this functionality: The Winners Offering will be updated to a final weapon that has yet to be featured. The previous Winner’s Offering will be added to the Faction Engram rewards, alongside an additional weapon. This brings the total to four weapons within the Faction Engram, and a final Winner’s Offering for factions to compete for over the course of the event.

Why are there non faction rewards in the loot pool? Why is faction armour in the loot pool when you can earn it? Doesn’t make sense.

Sorry @Dmg04 but the reasoning escapes me as to why the majority of the studio has moved on to Destiny 3 early development when so many issues exist the current product you have not even 6 months into it's life cycle. You have fans, streamers, among so many folks deviating more and more from continual play. And the thing I was around not long after Destiny vanilla launched shortly before Dark below released. Even then fans grumbled about perks and you had the occasional hate post sure, about the game itself, still I don't think I've seen this forum like this. Why is the sequel being worked on "now" when d2 really needs the attention, ask Christopher Barret this or a head of Activision, I don't think it's a unreasonable question deserving a true answer, doesn't make sense.....

Hey, did you guys just throttle down the public events? Because all week they were spawning normally. Today? Slow creep and long delays between them. Also the supply drops, what's up with those? I found 2 in over an hour and a half. What's going on? Tried everything from restarting game switching characters etc. Same thing.

1 Replynothing surprises me any more. I pop onto these forums once in a while to see if they've any intention of fixing this game. It doesn't appear they are, not only that there laughing at the people who play it. Bungie is just one big troll now. well how about this for a troll i've not bought any destiny 2 expansions and wont be buying destiny 3. I think thats a fairly common view now. how many people need to say that before destiny 2 and any destiny 3 is not financially viable ?.

Hi there, I have been a big fan of Destiny 1, I played it for more hours than I can count. Destiny 2 was the BIG next thing for me, I have given it a fair shot, been playing almost every day since release. But, as of today I am not playing it anymore. In fact, you have indeed destroyed a franchise dear to my heart. So long.

2 RepliesThis whole faction rally thing is stupid. Why not just rank up factions with everything you do like in D1 instead of this stupid ass token system where you throttle people. You took an every day after thought and turned it into an event and then you throttle the rewards. I get a bazillion Rattler sidearms but can’t get the only thing I want out of the stupid thing. What’s next Bungie? A collect consumables event? How -blam!-ing lazy are y’all?

Unbelievable!!! No new loot and throttle tokens only for Eververse to sell an exotic ghost that increases token drop rate. I’m done with this crap.

Hey @dmg04 - You guys need to know something... this whole riot over the Faction cooldown was COMPLETELY preventable. Here's how: You know those random Yellow-Bars that march around? The ones that drop a chest when they die? Or those chests that drop at the end of a public event? Those chests de-spawn after they are opened, yeah? All you had to do, and I mean ALL YOU HAD TO DO, was de-spawn the Hidden Sector chest the same way. De-spawn the chest when opened, re-spawn it when the cave is re-populated with enemies. This isn't rocket science. You already have a mechanic in the game that does this.

All guns should have been released this faction rally with the exception of two sets - one for the next faction rally winners weapons and another for the final. Right now, COO dropped and again we see very little to no new content from our purchase. At least there’d be a chase for the final weapons if it was done this way and players would be getting what they expect - the new content after the dlc improving upon things. Unfortunately this way is a pretty big oversight and for this faction rally at least, you’ve wasted the players time. As an added edit, if the objective was to maintain some kind of longevity in the game it’s doing the opposite - it kinda doesn’t make sense to play until everything is made available in another two faction rallies to me - very much how I thought of D1 as a whole in the end... it would have been great to buy the finished product with so many activities finally in there, but that was three years in the making, and a rough ride I’m not sure I want to go through again. This really kills any vibe I had for these rallies at all... I’d actually go so far as saying I much preferred the factions in D1. My time is finite and this game keeps asking me to cut out a week to play here and there. We should be able to play these “events” in our own time and not rush into it scrambling for tokens and chance rolls. I mean, does a faction rally victory actually mean anything? Are the events even worth joining because they are fun? It feels very unnecessary, not really adding anything fun and a time sink too.

16 RepliesI still have no understanding why faction rallys exist? I mean the way they worked in Destiny was fine. Keeping coin based loot system is just not working, why keep it? The loot system will be forever broke with coin rewards. Raids no longer offer or reward players anything interesting. No strike specific rewards, so getting to the end of all of them feels the same. You know Prison of Elders offered more exiting than any of Destiny2. Why is the reef no longer there? Why is Venous, mars and moon ect gone? It would have been cool to enter vault of glass with a new boss and some changes to the layout. Higher power levels and the ability to grab a fatebringer if u still wanted one. Not even 1 Doctrine of Passing HROF type af. To that end, why take a game like Destiny. A game millions enjoyed playing on a daily bases for years. Strip it down to nothing and call it Destiny2. Then wonder why so many people are upset. Maybe for you people at Bungie Destiny was just a game or job. But for me and so many others it was a game I looked forward to playing in my free time. It was fun hooking up with your buds or players that had become good freinds by playing with them day after day. I enjoyed the social aspects of the game as much as I liked playing it. Those days are gone for me and not to sound like a wuss, it sucks, I miss it. Oh well, like much of life things come and go. Destiny was one of the greats for me and where it ended. Destiny 2 I play but more of just another shooter, of what I consider a diff game. Destiny as I know it is gone. Destiny 2 is more of a spinoff game, so take it as just another shooter and not the game we all loved. Then, you might find peace.

You made changes to things that worked from D1 and killed the franchise. I won't be considering D3 now. Sad because this franchise had so much promise. Oh well, we'll see what Anthem has in store. Hopefully EAs greed doesn't kill that game...... Ciao Bungie.
