Hotfix 1.1.1.3 is now available, removing Curse of Osiris requirements for Faction Rallies and Iron Banner rewards.

1 ReplyLook here bromosaurus rex's. Been looking for kiwis for my venomous beaver ducks. Talked to cayde and that jiblet nibbler sold me some maps for hidden kiwi chests. So I saddled up Romstein my head platypus and got to gettin. After 62 days of searching far and wide and opening many a chest Romstein is pissed. That turd burglar sold me maps for chests full of pineapples. Venomous beaver ducks hate pineapples. Not only is Romstein upset but Shawna Tiddlywinks The 3rd (my other platypus and romsteins wife) Is beyond livid. She wont even let me put her saddle on her anymore. Im at a loss here and don't know what to do. After all that glimmer I have an enormous stack of useless pineapples and two severely pissed off venomous beaver ducks. Im gonna try to paint them to look like kiwis but I dont have much faith my lovely's will fall for it. Wish these little buggers didn't love kiwi so much but you know how the old saying goes.. "You cant feed a venomous beaver duck a pineapple painted to look like a kiwi or he will poo in your boot" This game sucks.

So I just logged on to check Xur, made sure he didn't have anything I still needed. That's it for my time in D2 for this week. I guess this will probably be how it goes until the next DLC. Good job Bungie. D2 is so much fun now.

Many people are on here saying D2 will take time like D1 but here's the issue with that thinking. Destiny's lack of story was overshadowed by the sheer experience and fun worthy quests and items and exotics to quest for. Vault of Glass alone was worth the $60.00 because it felt mysterious and epic in a way that made the player feel a part of something much bigger. Going deep in a Vex stronghold was exhilarating and a fascinating. The idea is to add on what we had and D2 should do that for D1 but it doesn’t. D2 is a shallow shell of what Destiny represents and I am not surprised at all by the player base, myself included, want nothing but the worst for this game. It is like we are stuck in the movie Groundhog Day where no matter what we say or do we get the same results repeated over and over again like were stuck in this -blam!-ing vex time loop of disappointment and redundancy. I wish Bungie used the same amount of creativity and energy in implementing new activities and items in the game as much as they do finding different ways to say the same thing in form of apologies and “oversights”. It is beyond ridiculous at the point. We as the community aren’t stupid and the “process” you have is flawed. I will not be buying stuff that I already had in Destiny 1 in the form of expansions and updates. Unfortunately for me, like most, I already bought the season pass.

i just thought of this, since no one really ever dose lost sectors and then they were exploited in past faction rallies, why not just make the milestone: Do 5 or 6 lost sectors in different areas or do all lost sectors in the EDZ. completing a lost sector will give you faction tokens but only for the first completion. you guys wouldn't have to put in a throttle but just make them one and done. this would make players do more or all of the lost sectors rather than the same one over and over again and they wouldn't be worried about exploiting them since they would know that once they do a lost sector they can't get any more tokens from that particular one. then once you are done with that milestone you move on to doing public events, strikes, and crucible. everybody wins and no reason to cry... well except for the fact that there aren't any new faction weapons until the next few rallies.

That is a bad fix, which I experienced myself last night in EDZ. All they had to do was lock-out the SAME Lost Sector so it cannot be re-looted continually Locking out ALL Lost-sector rewards is ABSURD. I suspect it is just another unintentional side effect of the change, because if it is deliberate then whoever came up with that idea is not competent

I will give credit where credit is due...when it comes to community management, you have done a better job than DeeJ and Cozmo. At least you have been communicating with the people...even though it's not exactly what we want to hear. For the love of this franchise, either fix the game or stop Destiny 3 production because I can't speak for others, I will not pre-order or buy Destiny 3. It is not hard to imagine others will be discontent to buy Destiny 3 as well. 1st step is stop using free to play mechanics in a game that is not free at all! Remove the throttling system and just let people have fun their own way. 2nd is if we should have microtransactions, the DLCs should be free or at least give us a choice what we can spend silver on instead of RNG deciding for us. 3rd is separate PvP and PvE! It is not hard to see PvP is going to have consistent adjustments and those adjustments can affect PvE and most likely in a negative manner. I could go on but these 3 are in need MAJOR attention!

More than 2 in a 10 minute period might be a slight mistiming. One person rushing through a public event can enter, clear, and collect in under 5 minutes. It's reasonable to think a single person could collect the chest within a 10 minute span. At the same time, I don't agree with many of the complaints. The people who didn't get the DLC have no right to complain that they aren't able to access DLC content (although keeping the original prestige raid available feels fair so they lose nothing) and, honestly, even having access to season 2 weapons feels odd. I don't think I could access anything beyond vanilla content in D1 before purchasing expansions. Eververse IS a little too invasive. The upcoming changes sound good on paper, hoping you all implement them well.

Once I noticed the throttling on opening chests after completing my third Lost Sector it just killed my motivation. All the systems in place to hobble player progression is some of the most deceptive, anti-fun, anti-customer practices I have ever seen a game developer employ.

I hit up a sector then.. ok shoot I gotta kill 10 minutes let’s do this Public Event that just started.. ok great it’s done 2 min later.. BUT NO LOOT!? Why is this affecting Chests outside of Lost Sectors!? This shit is killin me. I’m not trying to Grind an exploit; just trying to enjoy this game.

4 RepliesShallow ass game, no incentives to play. You guys have ruined just about every part of destiny at this point. I started playing D1 Y3 and holy shit I did not realize how good we had it back then. The game and raids blew my mind back then. Starting Y3 I jumped into a pretty complete game even if there was still plenty of room for more depth and improvements. You have so much shit left to put back before you can even remotely progress the game/franchise. You really blew it and no one thinks you have a chance at reigning it back in before 2019. By then this shell of a game will be completely abandoned. I actually tried to force myself to play crucible the last week or two. All it did was was remind me how badly off this game is. I have played trials teams in back to back games multiple times over this period. What a joke. I haven't been interested in any rewards since I finished the first raid armor set. It'd sure be nice if Barrett was some savior of the game and was going to D1Y3 this shit instantly but we all know even if he could, your scumbag company or activision would make them trickle it out the same way you're about to over 2018-2019. The fact that no one responds while the shit storm gets worse is heartening in that it confirms you guys are full of shit when it comes to earnest communication. The community guys don't help your case much with the dismissive update posts and popcorn references. I will for sure be switching to the first mildly entertaining rpg, looter mmo game that takes D2's place. Even if I end up disappointed with Anthem either it or Monster Hunter are going to wreck this game. If WoW or a similar game ever came to console (ESO is not up to this standard but it at least comes with some depth) you guys would be straight up done for. You guys should just pass the game onto Blizzard and -blam!- off , no one believes in you anymore. Way to drop the ball and turn the majority of a great community toxic. Long Live D1Y3

Dmg, with all due respect this is pathetic. Every planet except Mercury has multiple lost sectors. I should be able to do all on one visit without any throttle. If I try to do more, i could accept you response, but not from just playing the game and patrolling a planet and doing each sector. Given all that has transpired lately and being told last week 'we at bungie need to ensure player time is respected and rewarded ' this mechanic simply re-enforces everyone's current perception of your company. Perception is reality and right now its not looking to good. All of this STUFF happening is getting tiresome where I hesitate when getting on to Destiny. Your company should be worried that hesitation is replaced by not loggin on. I only speak for myself but many players, my friends are at this point.

So here's my take on this. Bad for bungie - fixed the same day Bad for players - tell us you're listening then fix in 2+ months. This is not good business practice. Maybe look at how many players you are loosing. Where is your sense of urgency or do you not give a flying rats A$$ what happens to this game. Whoever is in charge of the fixing timeline and priority list needs to get canned because they obviously don't give a crap about those who play this game.

Did you just hyperlink people to read the update when it is literally only this? "Players who do not own Curse of Osiris now have the ability to earn Season 2 rewards within Faction Rallies and Iron Banner" This game should have been delayed longer until it was actually completed.

You guys at Bungie really can't just give us something fun to do just for the sake of fun, can you? Seems like every time you "fix" or add (or bring back) something to the game, you have to ruin it by taking something away just for the hell of it. I.e. Exp throttle, removed but doubled exp. Dawning returned but turned into a cash grab. CoO dlc launch, tried to lock out players to force them into buying the dlc. Every faction rally so far has launched with a nerf to the previous rally's popular farming method. Do I really need to go on or are we starting to notice the pattern? I didn't use the lost sectors chest farm and even I think it was a douche move to throttle it since the farmers were already forced to give up all chances of regular or exotic loot in exchange for using that method. After 600 tokens those farmers also surrendered their chances at faction loot since there's already a cap on the number of engrams that can be earned. Given that we don't even get to see the numbers anyways, for all we know the winner of each rally is chosen via blindfold and dart board. Maybe I'm just fed up with all the farming nerfs. As a person who enjoys the grind, it feels like Bungie wants me to have to grind to get the rewards, but doesn't actually want me to grind.
