Thrall, Vex, taken, Cabal, bosses, etc. are all old news and boring. We have been seeing them from D1 onward. The only difference is new planets and maps. New enemies with new planets would be a nice change.

The lore, even with the grimoire, about them is incomplete. We should finish the arcs of the ones we already have (actually finish them, not exo stranger finish them) before we add anything else. We still have two more taken rulers, each with completely different philosophies and strategies to kill. We have barely learned anything about the vex, their origins, and the nature of their plans. We know nothing about the Elinski's (fallen) former culture. The cabal are the only ones we have almost finished, and even then we still don't know Calus's intentions and endgame concerning Earth. We don't even really know anything about the city, the culture in it, or the factions that fight to control it. Deal with those first, then we can add more to it. Edit: by taken rulers, I meen hive rulers who have the potential to take Oryx's crown, such as Savathun and Xivu Arath.
