Maybe people who are anti female chauvinism realized after enough time that the whole habit of calling someone a na*i is counter productive, and doesn't actually accomplish anything, since everyone on both sides uses the term to throw at anyone who disagrees with them. At least in the circles I pay attention to, use of the terms fascist, na*i, racist, socialist, and communist have become less prevalent. Both by liberals, conservatives, democrats, republicans, and others. I'd hope it's because as the terms got bandied about by everyone at any time they needed to throw out an insult or compare their opponent to something evil, the words entered the public consciousness more prevalently and people started learning what they actually meant and stopped using them frivolously when they didn't actually apply. A good example would be how it feels as if the term "racist" is being used less often to describe people who are anti illegal immigrant. But hey, this is only my own personal anectdodal experience, not supported by research, and I tend to believe that people can have rational discussions about things no matter how diverse their beliefs are. Edit: I just want to point out that my own personal belief that the term racist does not automatically describe someone who is anti illegal immigrant, is because I do believe that if all illegal immigrants of one race stopped entering their country illegally, and then we're replaced by illegal immigrants of a different race, that those people would still be anti illegal immigrant, regardless of the race of people who were entering the country illegally. If someone were to assume that all illegal immigrants were of one race, and/or to believe that only illegal immigrants of one race should be prevented entry, while illegal immigrants of another race were okay, then that would be discriminatory based on race, ie: racist. So there are people who are anti illegal immigration who are not racist, and those who are not racist. But the term racist should not be applied to all people who are anti illegal immigrant.
