Very good, my brother in law said a substitute for blue label ( expensive bottle) is green label but I haven’t tried that yet but I trust his word.
If you like a little sweet Crown Royal is excellent

Tell your brother in law he was spot on. Just opened a bottle of green label, it's really good. Thanks for the tip, wouldn't have looked twice at it without the recommendation. Just the right amount of smokiness. Now I just have to work through this thread for the next few weeks :p Cheers.

Good to know I’ll crack me open one so hopefully. Enjoy 👍🏽🥃

Nice one, thanks. Will have a look at those, love a good scotch. Didn't realise JW was up there tbh. Green label is about £40 here, what I usually spend, so am gonna give it a shot until I decide to treat myself to the blue. Cheers for the info 👍

Balvenie (doublewood version) sometimes on offer for around £25 (usually closer to £40) and is really nice. Don't drink whisky as much these days but if I see that one for a decent deal it gets purchased.

Personally I enjoy savouring a nice can of Special Brew with a turpentine chaser

The worst drink I ever had was half a Special Brew, half a Strongbow, blackcurrant top (a Brewdiesel, or a Brewbite to some). It wasn't the taste that was so bad, but I couldn't sleep for hours after that atrocity.
