"We can't do this anymore. This is just too much, this is too hard for us to do - the tools that we work with are really hard to deal with. It's hard for us to make this much content. It's just hard making content in general" - Bungie Year 4/10 of the Destiny Contract. Yikes

not actually Bungie but a quote from someone talking about Bungie. A 3rd party as well . Not saying there isn't some truth in it but this quote keeps being attributed to Bungie themselves which is misleading.
-
Bungie before d2 release said they now had better tools and could creatie content far more easy... So which one of the 2 is bullshit
-
You do know that Bungie never actually said that right? The reporter was summarizing their internal team’s thinking about it. Still bad that a team like Bungie would take this approach, but I’m kinda a stickler for correct quotations.
-
If not Kotaku will be hit with a lawsuit for saying it on a podcast
-
the reporter said it on the podcast and he's allowed to summarize what he found. It's just people are saying it as if it's a verbatim quote from a Bungie employee and it's not.
-
And this reporter has a pristine track record of being accurate in what he reports so I'll believe him until contrary proof or official statement from bungie emerges.

Once you try to do something with your life, you will understand.

Uniformed opinion is uninformed. If I plumb someones house me telling them 'Sorry it's too hard' isn't an acceptable answer, I wouldn't get paid.

Edited by MC 077 Lasombra: 1/8/2018 9:59:32 AMReinventing the wheel may be hard but it’s also unnecessary. Kind of like remaking a game after you’re already 1 entry and three years deep into it. Yeah it is hard but it’s also plain stupid to even try. So should I feel sorry for them when they consistently make bad decisions based on ego and greed? Nope. They knowingly put themselves in that position. They’ve earned the flak.

Last time I checked if you can't do something at job you get fired. Your boss likely doesn't give a shit how hard something is...
